Its better to rename this as Tamil Spice instead of Southern Spice. Except for an occasional mention of some malayalam movies there is no mention of telugu, kannada movies. Recently Chiranjeevi got Padma Vibhushan and no mention of it. If it was kamal hasan or BIG "RAJINIKANTH" then there would have been big write up on it.
It would be really nice to change it to Tamil Spice and then no one would wonder why only Tamil stories are written.

Ido compeletely agree with you. why there is a Box office verdict only for hindi movies why not for others? and to find one we have to search all the website.
It simply doesnt matter...The fact that Jyothika is there in the movie makes the movie UNWATCHABLE.I mean..comon guys...she really is such an irritant..Cant act ,cant dance and looks horrible. She was an embarassmant in Chandramukhi..and still got awy with good reviews.Look at the way she dances in the Last song.. that was pathetic to say the least

Hello boss, keep ur cool man.i'm not picking up a quarrel with u man.I am also a kannadiga. Not tht rediff.com is biased,One thing we should accept is that tamil industry is the second best in india after bollywood.Infact tamil industry have more talents as compared to bollywood. The reason tht it does not have a far reach as bollywood is that the whole of north india doent know tamil.also make a note that tamil is the official language in singapore, malaysia, indonesia, maldives, srilanka, etc.
now coming to ur issue rama shama bama requires some hype??wht say..its a remake of sathileelavathi which was released before 10 yrs or so..u want a hype for such a movie.Do not rate the whole of tamil industy just by some movies.Compaing to bollywood or telugu, kannada there have not been much skin showing in tamil. There they have a character for the heroine to play.

Coudnt agree more. There r far more talented and beautiful heriones.. Asin, Meera jasmine, Sada etc...why Jyothika ?. Meera jasmine would have done a wonderful job in Chandramukhi..esp after seeing the malayalam version (played by shobana) it really pained me to see jyothika in that role

Tamil cinema is probably at it's lowest ebb now. There arent many quality film makers, actor or musicians.Almost all movies r remade from telugu or malyalam .There is no creativity whatsoever .And regd heroines most heroines show skin and nothing else.Music quality has gone worse
If tamil cinema has to improve we have no choice but to do away with the likes of Vijay,Simbu,Dhanush, Directors like Dharani, perarsu etc music directors like srikanth deva ,vidyasgar actresses like trisha jyothike etc
All tamil movies these days are of poorest quality,As of now Hindi malyalam Kannda bengali r far better
There is still hope though in the form of Kamal ,Maniratnam , Cheran,Prakash Raj ,meera Jasmine etc.hope they come up with more quality movies
when kamal hasan acts in a kannada movie, you guys dont give any sort of coverage or publicity, do you see him only acting in Tamil movies even if it is a stupid movie, his kannada release Rama Shama Bhama is a super hit, why dont u show anything about that. Senseless rediff bias.
