Without any doubt Black deserves the award for the best film of 2005. Amitabh is above any award(s) so we can consider other stars for the best actor slot. Rani Mukerjee deserves the award for the best actress.
Black is the most over-rated movie ever. The film was good but not that brilliant. The two leads over-acted the whole way and were very annoying. AB was loud and annoying. Rani walked around like she has a stick coming out of her bottom.

last year black was their, good film, good direction n good acting but sad to asy it was a copy of hollywood flick even salaam namaste. we want to see more of original hindi moovies no more copy of hollywood flicks. so my best moovie award goes to Parinita. Best actress Vidya Balan, Best Actor Saif ali khan. Bachchan and Rani Should Get critics award. Best supporting actress Shefali Shah for Waqt, Best supporting actor Abhishek for sarkar. although he performed well,but i don't think his acting was good enough for this award.i feel that naseeruddin shah would have performed better in this role.as a diehard fan,its very frustrating 4 me to see a hamming bachchan in many of his films today.i just can't see the bachchan,whom i knew from my childhood.he has disappointed me a lot with the choice of his roles in movies like K3G & mohabbaten.those roles could have been done by any b-grade artist.but he chose to b a part of these movies just to add to the starcast and probably his bank balance too..
its very amazing that today,he is getting prestigous awards almost every year for such above average performances.but in his hey days,when he was at his very best,he got just 2 awards for the best actor!!(DON & AMAR AKBAR AND ANTHONY).the 3rd 1 came late in his career for his HUM.the reason is very simple.in his era,his relations with the press were extremely unpleasant..and now,its just the opposite.he can be seen in every other tv show, advertisement and interview.if u keep good relations with the press then u won't return empty handed at the end of the day.b it the best actor or any other award.
