Fully agree with Prashant. Black being a wonderful and outstanding movie has not got the entry because of politics. Sharukh khan is nothing but a big diplomat who should not do such things because of his own intererest instead of public and country's interest. Mudit

shahrukh has truly done his best for Paheli to be nominated in the oscars and it is worth it!! I have watched Paheli 16 times I have really reallly really enjoyed watching.With the bottom of my heart I would like to give a hearty congratulions to the whole team of Paheli.Kudos!!
Not that he is ashamed of lobbying & using Politics (Congress - Sonia Factor) for making this dump fold movie as India's official entry to Oscars, instead he is telling around to west that he is promoting Indian Cinema!!!! Black chosen as No 5 movie by time in the whole world for 2005 is not our official entry to Oscars! well after seeing movies like Black can we get noticed in Hollywood Mr. SRK not paheli where India is shown in poor light by the drama, showing poor people, villages and yet belief in Ghosts in this age, leave that Ghost get a woman pregnant? Even the junta of india whom SRK seems to be promoting has outrightly rejected the movie at a time when SRK is considered Badshah of Bollywood (proving yet again that he is nothing without Yasj Raj or Karan Johar banner) pls stop this mockery of Indian cinema!!!! isn't he ashamed of his movie being granted entry and not Black shouldn't he be apologising to Indian public... Shame Shame Shame...

Mr Manwani do you have any personal grudges against our Baadshah.It seems that you know too much about Sonia Gandhi and Shah Rukh Khan?? If you know that much then how come you dont know that Black is not an original creation but an inspired movie.By the way have you ever been to Rajasthan?? Ghosts are still feared in some parts and life is exactly the same as shown in Paheli.

Wonderful response! Yes, Shahrukh should be ashamed of this. Paheli is showing India as an orthodox and a country full of poverty. No wonder, Bollywood can never make itself as an offcial entry into the dictionaries. Shahrukh, you are one of the greatest actors for me and my favorite film is "Swades" too, but you disappointed each and everyone of us this time. Stop taking these kind of stupid assignments or hence you yourself would ruin your reputation.
The best way to promote Paheli is for the lead stars to appear on popular American talk shows and talk about the movie as well show clips ( scenes ) from the movie.
no chance not even a .1%.they are not going tomakeit.as i have watched it there is not much which could gain it an oscar.sorry sharukh.instead plz send iqbal.
