I don't see any chance of remaking Vismayathumpathu to Hollywood. Actually all three directors found this plot as better one. I saw both Vismayathumpathu & Just Like Heaven, JLH is the best work.
I think Just Like Heaven is the only film which kept the truthiness to the novel.

Hello, If you are thinking to strat this Year with Bollywood movie "I SEE YOU" then stop yourself. As the concept of this movie has unsuccessfully copied from Hollywood Movie "JUST LIKE HEAVEN" starring Actress:Reese Witherspoon, Actor: Mark Ruffalo.
"I SEE YOU" can no way come closer to "JUST LIKE HEAVEN". Myself very much fond of watching Bollywood Romantic movies was so much moved by watching the movie "JUST LIKE HEAVEN" which is one of the best Romantic movies I have ever seen in my LIFE.
So, go and watch a good quality "JUST LIKE HEAVEN" instead of "I SEE YOU"

well no body copied. they all are based on a french novel, but i would recommend people to see "Just Like Heaven". it had such a touching story with great performances by Reese and Mark. and also i forgot to mention that their chemistry was the high point of the movie. i saw an interview of Arjun in zee tv in which he said that i see you has an orginal plot. Well now i can see how original was it. I belive they didnt even read the novel and just copied from the hollywood flick.
From the comments posted here, some say it is a copy of vismayathumbathu (malayalam) or "Just like heaven" (Hollywoood). Let me share a bit of information
vismayathumbathu (malayalam) was released in 2004 and "Just like heaven" in 2005. So I believe vismayathumbathu (malayalam) should get the credit.

It is true that Just Like heaven released in 2005 and the Malayalam movie Vismayatumbatu released in 2004. But it is stupid to think that "Just Like Heaven" is copied from the Mallu movie. Come on Guys, do u expect Hollywood story writers to watch a Mallu movie and then remake it...Ridiculous!!!!! What happened here is very simple and straightforward. Mallu movie director read the novel and made a movie in 2004. then again the novel was adapted to a English Movie in 2005. Mind you...This is in no way related to Mallu movie. Finally our great Bollywood made this crappy movie

Mallu Movie: "Vismayathumbathu" released in 2004, Hollywood movie "JUST LIKE HEAVEN" relased in 2005, & Bollywood movie "I SEE YOU" relased in 2006 are based on the SAME plot. Now, you can imagine, how good and successful was this plot, that the directors across the world had to think of making it in 3 different ways.
It all started with a French Novel "If Only It Were True" by a French novelist: Marc Levy, which was the best selling & the most popular book published in France this decade.
But my Final line is "Get a DVD print of "JUST LIKE HEAVEN" and watch it" and then tell me. You wont regret
Rightly said.. it is a copy of Just Like Heaven... and don't get surprised... Just Like Heaven is a copy of Malayalam movie.... Vismayathumbathu (2004)... it was released much before Just Like Heaven (2005).
