I think you have done an attrocious job in this review. This is the best movie I have seen in the past 6-8 months.
Your review on all the areas is pathetic. ' Bobby and Sanjay', the scriptwriter have done a great job. You said, 'empathy is missing', I guess you were not a best of your moods as a reviewer and viewer of the movie. The characters are believable, no second thought about that.
This movie should be watched by all. This movie would be in the class of Kamal's movie 'Manjupola Oru Penkutty'. Though Roshan's intention was to send out the message that 'children should grow up with their families and not in boarding schools', he has been able send quite a few more messages with his message.
One more thing about your review, Reviewer of movie should not be giving the entire story. If thats what a review is, then I think you are doing a bad job. Please get back to your fundamentals on the movie reviews. If you want some more references on movie reviews, please refer to movie reviews in Deccan Herald, The Hindu etc.
I am afraid that this time the critic is far off the mark.In my opinion, the movie has proved to be worth the time and money spent on it.The story, cast, dialogue and music....everything has been dealt with creatively. The performance of the youngsters is highly commendable.A must watch for parents and teenagers. And more movies of this genre should be encouraged than treated with disdain.
IF u people lack the sense to watch movies the way they should be watched, well,we'll have to say better quit the job. NOTEBOOK,i found is one of the best movies i've seen last year.it tells about rotten education system of the present, how we are incapable to understnd our children, how hypocratic we are,and marks dont care a hell-children has to be nurtured the way their interests grow. Educating in big schools do not mean making good and successfull individuals out of children.its concern and appreciation kids need, not solitude and work load... kudos to the film makers.NOTEBOOK is the movie society is in dire need of...
Hats off to the new guys and gals in notebook ..........
In my opinion its a must see movie for everybody!!!. The approach and views of modern day youth and younger generation has changed a lot. Apropos, before writing a critic or review as done by Mr. Paresh C Palicha , the critic should think many times and he or she need to understand the mindset and approach of youngsters and popular masses. In this case , giving a much lower rating to NOTEBOOK, Mr. Paresh C Palicha has done a grave mistake.
After watching the movie one gets the feeling that its the same old wine in a new bottle. However, director of the film have made sincere efforts to convey a message to the parents and the teens with great success.
But we cannot compare this one with Rosshan Andrrews first movie" Udayananu Tharaum" for the reason many of the scenes lose continuity especially songs comes from no where after some shots; should have taken care in the editing table. All the songs and lyrics are good except for the english song which resembles....... Aqua or Venga boys????
Kudos to all the new entrants in the film (Maria, Roma Parvathy and the new hero Skanda). Roma.... hey she has played the bubbly
I saw quite a few bad reviews about 'notebook' before i actually saw the movie and i have only question to ask- what is wrong with you guys? You praise staid regressive duds like 'palunku' and a complete washout like 'smart city' and then trash the only sensible movie to hit the screens in recent times. Maybe it is something to do with the fact that all you reviewers are guys. You call this movie 'insensitive' I dont remember seeing another malayalam movie that presents quintessentially female problems with such absolute sensitivity, never once crossing the line and never ever underestimating female anxieties and concerns. Pray what is so 'bold' about asking a male friend to buy a sanitary pad? Did you never know that every single woman needs it at some point or the other? All the events and sequences in this movie are so neatly linked and so effortlessly narrated that it was like a breath of fresh air! The language is exactly what teenagers in such a milieu would use and the setting is clearly not a rural government school. What is wrong with that? Why do we insist that movies only be set in middle class backdrops? Doesnt anyone else have a life? I Loved this movie!!!
i do hope it is a good movie. i want to take my teenage daughter to this movie. so please , if anyone has seen it, pls reply to my message and tell me abt it.

This is a movie that every teenagers' parents can take their kids to. zero vulgarity, zero double standard jokes. Lot of message.
paresh, i thought you would like it. I liked the film very much. i thought it was a very bold film that dares to totally do away with all the old jaded faces that dominate our screen, and tells an intimate all-girls story.. in the proces brings out a lot of things into the open from the malayalee closet - napkin for instance, or premarital sex, pregnancy, etc..
well , i have not yet seen the movie and i really want to. but after seeing this review, i am having second thoughts. since i am in my early teenage years, i was kinda like hoping for a film which has a good story and also a cute movie, but this is like a little advanced when all the pregnancy things come up. i am a little disappointed. anyway, i think i 'll try the movie, and hope its a good one.
