Good review. Just one mistake at end. The particular song "Tanhai" from movie 'Dillagi' was composed by Anand-Milind, not by Shankar-Ehsan-Loy and sung by great Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan. There were four music directors. S-E-L trio made four songs: 1. The title track 2. Reprise of title track 3. Raahon mein chhayee ranginiya 4. Kya Ye such hai Anand Milind composed the tanhai song. Sukhwinder sing composed Dhoom luk luk and rest were composed by Jatin Lalit 1. Ye zameen hai rehguzar 2. Haan Haan Ye Pyar Hai 3. Koi nehi aisa 4. Main Kya karoon There was another song called 'sangeet'. It was traditional lyrics and music.
This comment is not to understate the talent of Shankar-Ehsan-Loy. They are my favorite, however.

SEL do not top - The current hot guy is Anu Malik obviously , coz he is simply the best.25 long years in the industry is enuf to speak of his position in this industry.And yeah , he still tops .The younger bunch have not been able to overtake him even now.
The music reviewer seems to be an expert in carribean,spanish,celtic...music.Wish he could define their chars for us ignorant folk.We were just expecting some good hindi music and thats what shankar,ehsaan,loy are good at----good hindi masaala music.To jump to the conclusion that they r the best in tragic songs and other such comments gives me a feeling he haS BEEN PAID TO promote the album!
