Idiotic men. Making such claims without any backing up, support your argument geniuses. And by the way, Dev and Miya not being the typical couple was part of the plot - 'unique situation' present in all Bollywood dramas.

Mukesh: I totally agree with you. Its an embarrassment!!
Frankly, for an immature mind as yours, you cannot conceive the message portrayed and so have no right making such a far-fetched statement. Understand the context this plot has been put in and remember, critisism is reasonable when it's constructive. You're just whining you big wuss. Shutup and Put up.
Its indicative of how divided an audience can be regarding a movie when half of the hall is crying and the other half is trying to poke fun at every dialog by according double entendres to them!! This was my experience while watching KANK. I tried in vain to make sense of the movie, but failed miserably. KJo tries his hands at a thought provoking subject, but he muddles up the pair that should have actually had the extra-marital affair. It would make a lot more sense for an ambitious go-getter woman and an intensely passionate fun-filled man who are rejected by their spouses to have sought for love outside their marriage. If KJo wanted to keep SRK as the center of attention he should have given him Rishi's role, and reversed the extra-marital pairing to be Rishi-Rhea instead of Dev-Maya. Then this movie would make much more sense. I also feel that SRK as a fun-filled passionate man would have acted more realistically. Amitabh is efficient in his role, and Abhishek steals the show. SRK has been wasted, this could have been his film, had it been scripted sensibly.
Indians are emotional fools and this website's and its readers' obsession with this purely average movie proves it. Barring Shahid's review, the other's sounded like apologies from KJ's fans for a barely tolerable movie. For me, I have never watched a KJ movie and never will. I just hope the vast Indian emaotional fools who watch KJ films all over the world grow a brain and watch something sensible like a Bharadwaj, a Farhan Akhtar or a Kuknoor film.
Gosh, thas the worst review of KANK ever featured.. its even worser than a few of Raja Sen s reviews. And that too coming from a Film studies Graduate... well..Mr. Shahid Khan, u have a long way to go. The best example cud be the line "Amitabh Bachchan is a source of embarrassment for his squirmy character leering at every girl he sees" in his view. I am sure nobody will agree. Hello.. Amitabh was among few good things in the movie.Thankfully Abhishek is spared. Not a kind of review to be picked up among the Many, Rediff claims to have received.
