Regarding adult movies
by santoshkumar.Dakua on Sep 20, 2006 03:10 PM

Yes i think 'A' graded movies should be banned on tv sets as it has become a offence to watch in front of parents. Now people cant sit togather and watch anything for a while in front of their parents. As these 'A' grade movies can also be shown in the theater why should one telecast these films in television sets.Kindly dont do this.

Should Adult film be banned?
by Johnson on Sep 19, 2006 02:44 PM

As per my opinion/experience, it should not be banned as it is the right of each and every citizens to what we have to watch. The decision of court will create big problems as people will approach another way to access this facility. Nobody can stop the choice/taste of an individual. I again strongly object against the court's decision.

Viewers should be responsible.
by Prasant on Sep 19, 2006 07:12 AM

I feel the viewers should decide on watching the appropriate programmes on TV. Just by banning the programmes on TV wont stop youth or children from learning about sex or sex education.
Nor will they stop watching adult movies buying from the CD or DVD store. They need to be taught the right way of handling sex and adult topics and they will become better people instead of becoming perverts.

Sharmila is bang on target
by V.Chacko Jacob on Sep 13, 2006 03:58 PM

I feel that Sharmila is bang on target. She was always a sensible actress and it shows as chair person of the censor board too. What is needed is both sides giving away a little. The cable wallah's should agree that adult movies can be shown only at a particular time slot and be honest in implementing the rule. So should the channels and so should the parents pack of the little one's before 10 pm (That is tha usual case). French movies are world renouned for their fantastic themes. Yes , a few do have adult sex scenes but then it usually fits in the story and the overall theme is good. Why deny a sensible mature adult the right to watch a good french movie ?

what's the harm
by Anurag on Sep 12, 2006 09:17 AM

late night showes are the best suited timings for this when the kids are sleeping, adults who are interested in watching them can go ahead.
its the choice of people, who is somebody sitting out there to decide for general public.

No public viwes have been asked for on this issue. They just proceed the way they want to.
