KANK was wonderfully potrayed. All the actors were wonderful in their acting. I think people who felt that the topic was improper, i would suggest all those people to ask themselves why did they marry?
Many people may not have even the answer. Many people may not agree with the end, But i think it\'s better to part ways in a relationship which is making you suffer in life. Many people indulge in extra-marital affairs after their marriage in India, But many are reluctant to accept it on the large screen. When Amitabh says Rani to leave Abhishek since she doesn\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\'t love him and says that by staying on with abhishek she is stopping Abhishek from reaching his true love and she himself going away from her true love, it was one of the best moments in the movie. Many people in India have divorced themselves to enter in to new marriage. So it is not a new subject to the indian audience practically. The movie just try\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\'s to convey a message that rather then suffering in a unhappy marriage you should try to move on...

KANK, A welcome change

When movies in India were going the same old formula, Karan Johar showed that things can be made differently and thats what he did. Its a great movie no doubt and it is a matured movie and it shows the dynamics of relationship in undiluted terms. Kudoos to Karan

Shah Rukh Kank

This guy Shah Rukh is a pain in the .....Right since the first day he was called King Khan, he has been a systematic, teutonic pain. The last movie where he managed to put in a decent performance has been DDLJ. After that he has been hamming like there is no tomorrow.Devdas, K3G, KHNH and now KANK...the list goes on. Why he is still called "King" is beyond anyone's comprehension. He is more of a kinky Khan (check out his side shows with Saif in KHNH). Media ...thou maketh a star but please choose the right man. SRK has become a nuisance.

KANK: A welcome change...
by Nav on Aug 25, 2006 04:34 AM

First of all...the idea is wonderful. The story line taps relationships which are under the wraps. To briefly describe it, a guy marries a gal(Arranged). But things wont work out. The message is...So just move on.Live ur life instead of compromising with it.
For all those guys who hated this movie, I understand ur feelings and it has been proved once again with your comments that Indians dont welcome change easily. Regardless of people living in cities or villages, they just find it very hard to come out of their shell and look at life from a different perspective. It\\\\\\\'ll take atleast another 100 years for people to realise that living life on ur terms requires the intelligence to make some hard decisions. But its for one\\\\\\\'s own good.

As far as performances are concerned, SRK has showed again that he\\\\\\\'s the biggest indian super star, India has ever produced. Rani supports him with much ease. Preity, Abhishek and Amitabh were OK with the roles they got.

Over all...Kudos to Karan to come up with this awesome idea of telling people to look at life with a different perspective.

Mera Naam Raju
KANK reminds me of an old englilsh movie ''Falling in Love'' (1984) starring Meryl Streep
by Mera Naam Raju on Aug 24, 2006 08:39 PM

The plot of KANK is not a new one. A similar theme has been attacked in an older english movie called "Falling in Love" starring Meryl Streep.

i real feel suprised when i read about the film being called a hit. i cleary say it neither hit in india or nor it should be called outside. i advise all others not to go for the movie just because of the stars. you will be cursing yourself all the time sitting in the movie hall.

The story is good but the climax does not go with the Indian traditions. Karan has tried to show that part of one's life which in Indain tradition is kept under 100 barriers till now. This movie is going to make money overseas. BigB,SmallB were fabolous. Abby baby was the best of all. Shahrukh does not look good in an angry man's looks. Priety and rani were looking good and Priety looks sexy as well s Rani's saris were amazing. Good work Manish

Big B and Small B rocks. It should be realised that majority of people go to watch this movie because Amitabh and Abhishek are in this movie. SRK is not the priority. But some people wrongly give SRK the credit. Anyway this movie is a waste of time and money. Nothing to watch except Big and small B. SRK has the same monotonus acting since last 15 years. its amazing how indian viewers are fooled by him with the same acting since last so many years. SRK should retire and live happily that he has won all those filmfares by fooling the public with his monotony. He has nothing new to offer and so he now uses the old hit formulas.....first devdas and now don !
