KANK - The worst movie of the year!
by Ratna on Aug 20, 2006 11:43 PM

The movie drags like anything.
Characters made the script/story. not the vice-verca.
No reaons for not to be happy with their partners.
LOVE was misused very badly.
Movie is not suggested for single Indian.
Don't go to theatre by any chance. If you want have a VCD and drag the scene you want. If you want only.

KANK review

The movie is a true nonsense made by some sensible and big names in Indian film Industry.

I think the down fall of SRK has started from this movie. He is running short of bold roles which can make people praise his acting.

Its time for some fresh refreshments.

the main drawback of this movie is
by mumtaz begum on Aug 20, 2006 11:37 AM

i am a huge fan of shahrukh khan and
i was expecting alot from this movie
but i was very much disappointed
every one did their best but the script is not good.
the songs were good.
how can we expect a person leave his son bcoz he is having an extramarital affair
and the main leads in this picture i.e srk and rani have been portrayed wrong which the fans cannot digest
and the film was so lenghty that we are waiting when this will end
it would have been better if the scenes are not lengthy

i think what karan has tried to show in the film is not acceptable in india and such things doesn't happen in real life either. moreover role played by SRK doesn't suits his personallity as he is always seen laughing playing in most of his films. i think story was the main drawback of the film and also the dialogues spoken and scenes shown specially in the first half made impossible for one to watch the movie with the family members. but one must say that the music is really good specially mitwa and the title track. i think the music directors have done a great job.

Why does Karan Johar make movies?
by Chinnappa Raju on Aug 19, 2006 10:21 PM

I'm not sure what is the purpose behind Karan Johar make movies. After KANK I completely agreed to myself that he does not make it for audience. But he may be making it for people within the industry. If we see the star cast he uses in every movie, I feel that he makes a movie just a pleasant outing with his friends. There has not been anything great in his movies what the audience can expect, apart from the reputed actors, beautiful locations, expensive costumes, some imaginary life style. He just makes movies out of his wild dreams which only very few people in India can enjoy seeing it. If he is really a good and confident director, he should be able to make a hit movie with any actors including newcomers. What is the idea behind using his close friends in all his movies? Is it that he has enough money & wealth to live and he just want to have some pleasant time by making movies? What is percentage of Indian citizens who likes his movies? Targeted audience is the major drawback I find in his movies. The stories and sequences would appeal to very minimal percentage of Indian crowd.

by Vishambar on Aug 19, 2006 09:01 PM

well I was a great fan of KJ movie's b4 going to watch the movie iwas reading the viewers comment and almost 100% readers gave the movie a thumbs down.
still I wanted to go and watch the movie cos I had hoped may be movie will be good all the viewers comments are ccrap.
But Mr KJ this is the worst movie I have seen,How can u jus ridicule the values of our society our culture. Even ur hero has said publically that he wud never leave his son for love.
After seeing the movie i jus felt like vomiting

Yes, it is a painful movie to sit through. Even my wife, who watches the most tedious Ekta Kapoor soaps wideeyed , agreed with me on this one. Stale humour dominates KANK while SRK's mannerisms irk the viewer beyond despair.

Of late I find that these big banner films are beginning to pale and movies like 9-2-11, Gangster and even The Killer are far more entertaining.
