If my state government was reacting so like a toddler I'd have played a role in bringing it down and making sure such mockery of governments ever be reinstituted.
As if gujarat doesn't have enough to focus on at the moment. Either the people are content with the present situation ( how great to see governments attacking fellow citizens) or the people just don't like anyone from outside its boundaries?
Gujrat Govt must return the licensing fees colletcted from the LAGAN PRODUCTION TEAM. It was Gujrat Govt that lured them to film there because GG wanted soem hard cash. Let the next election come Mr Modi will be out of power. He has done enough damage to the dignity of Gujrat People.
Foisting faaltu case on Aamir seems to be the route taken by Guj govt and sundry BJP supporters. After a misguided youth commited suicide to protest the screening of Fanaa in a lone Gujarat theatre,a Porbandar group made a police complaint against Aamir for being a supposedly causative factor in the suicide. When the cola-pesticide controversy broke out,BJP members in the Lok Sabha singled out Aamir for castigation, though he is not the only star to endorse a cola drink. And as for the action against Aamir for filming chinkaras in Lagaan---it can't get more ridiculous or more unfair.Recently the BBC chose Lagaan as one of the '50 films to see before you die'.Lagaan was 14th on this list. Thanks to Ashutosh for writing and directing this wonderful film, and a big thanks to Aamir for having the guts and commitment to make this film. The Guj govt is meanwhile looking for any stick to beat Aamir with.I hope the actor continues to produce great cinema, meanwhile taking care not to get enmeshed in poltically motivated tangles.
Well, Indian politics can never be productive...For six years they didn't know if the film was shot in Kutch without permission...and all of sudden they woke up and sent a notice to Amir...It's all because Amir said something on Narmada project...Gujrat politics anyways sucks and i didn't expect anything better from them either...
Ironically, the message in the movie was to protect wildlife. In any case, did the Forest Department put up notices prominently prohibiting photography ?
This is utter nonsese..Do these people have anything better to do?? Can't they try to protect our wildlife from being eleminated rather than sueing somebody for filming this??? This is why India never gets better..Here people have time to make sensational news.. They are not doing it with any good purpose!!
