ridiculous !

well once again rediff has shown the inability to review a film's music review without any prejudice . firstly almost all the sing are hummable other than des rangila . chanda chamka and chand sifarish are very melodius and sure shot hits . dekho na is well sung by sonu and sunidhi . the album will definetly be well recieved by the public , as for the reviewer i can just say " yeh jo public hai yeh sab janti hai " and it doesn't need a poor reviewer like you to give them any advice .take a BREAK FROM REVIEWING .YOU BADLY NEED IT .

Not Fanaa-tastic but not too bad either...

I thought the 2-star rating was too harsh, maybe 2 1/2...?

Not just influenced by though, Sukanya-the music and
arrangement was also very reminiscent of the Hum Tum track(s),
there were quite a few instances where, singing along with
the Fanaa songs, I found myself segueing into a Hum Tum track.

Kunal Kohli clearly knows the kind of tunes he likes and wants more
of the same, I guess... or was it a case of Jatin-Lalit giving him what
they thought he wanted?

Not an innovative album, granted, but then ARR was the last trend-
setter in the industry, with the rest (incl Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy, Vishal
Shekar, etc) merely following his style, and J-L, in Fanaa, do the same.

Still, Chand Sifarish, Mere Haath mein and Dekho Na are easy on the
ears and in these days of low expectations, its no crime to follow in
the musical footsteps of the lone (ARR)ranger of film music.

Please stop making statements like ARR is the last great music director and so on..... ARR was once upon a time a good musician. But lack of quality musicians made him look better than most... His tunes are mostly repetitive, don't gel with lyrics and always LOUD... He has given very few meldious or haunting music... Music that lingers on even after many years....

U r insane

Seriously, you are insane. I think you are the kind of person who likes funky music etc.

Fanaa has excellent songs. I love every single one of them. I understand that you have your right of opinion. But some things in life are absolutely true and one of them is that Fanaa has excellent music.

I Disagree
by Shresht on Apr 19, 2006 02:17 PM  | Hide replies

I Think The Music Of Fanaa is undoubtedly not a classic or something but it outstands in it's own right... all songs from Chand Sifarish to Fanaa For You excel in their own way ... But i would definitely wish that the basic tune of Yaara Yaara From Hum Tum would be limitedly used... otherwise kudos to the music of Fanaa...

***1/2 stars out of 5 from me to the soundtrack of Fanaa

I completely disagree with the Review....well i thnk the person giving the review was expecting something insane as of Himesh's music in Fanaa..well grow up mate its Jatin-Lalit..the Yash Raj loyalist and he has done a great job.alright.....So the songs Chand Sifarish is an awesome no. as well Chanda Chamke, Dekho na, Mere Haath main and Des rangila..the picturization of the songs will be more cool i hope..
so frm my side it 5 out 5....so better u learn giving reviews frm me....
