I wonder how can she say that????? she isn't average. my personal hits of lataji's are when she sung for Laxmikant Pyarelal. I like all her numbers she had done for them. Whether its Milan, Shor, Sargam, Bobby, Satyam Shivam Sundaram & Prem Rog(best ones), Ek Dujje Ke Liye, Pyar Jhukta Nahin, Do Dilon Ki Dastaan, Dekha Pyar Tumhara, Hero. All are wonderful. Of Course she had done some great songs with SHANKER JAIKISHAN, R D BURMAN AND S D BURMAN as well but for me Fav singer Lata Mangeshkar and Fav Music Dir Laxmikant Pyarelal
why i call her lata ma coz apart frm my own ma in the earth ,i feel she has given peace of ears to all the children of india as a mother word works for a child her vioce works in the same manner thanks alot ma...............
I have not seen such greatness in anyone else. So much respect for others and so little pride in her own self. I guess those are qualities of great people. What Lata didi has achieved I don't think anyone else has achieved, forget that I don't think anyone can achieve that in many lifetimes. I wish Lata didi many more years of melodious life.
