Overall Movie is well directed and written. But is too detailed for some scenes and showing all small small things thier lifes which makes movie too slow and creates resistance to the pace. It seams like Director is unnecessarily lengthening the story as the result of audience loses the interest.
Kal more or less lives up to expectations. It may not be as compelling as 'hazaron khwaihishen aisi' but its still a good film with fine performances. Chitrangda proves yet again why she being compared to smita patil with a faboulous performance. And Boman Irani proves why he's such a fine actor. Shiney Ahuja is also good but we don't get to see him much......but the extended role of Chitrangda more than makes up for it. Ruchi narain makes a fine debut and she can only get better. Special mention must be made for the opening credits which were indeed innovative. Ram Kapoor and Sarika are also good in their roles. The film could've been a little more thrilling but its still a good effort. And the film does stand apart from the regular bollywood films and does cater well to the new-found multiplex audiences. The film may be difficult to comprehend for the general public......but for people who love good 'classy' movies like hazaron khwaihishen aisi and Dansh, this is another one to watch out. The film quite wonderfully shows the problems in a high class society and how power quite often decides things. And there's good news for this may not be Chitrangda's last movie.
