The movie is good. A one time watch! It just tells u how untraditional the films can be!! DEfinately, after the end, u wanna pull out your hair...but hey...if the end is regular...we say its common...now hen its uncommon...we can really say...that its too bizarre or something!!! I really had a good laugh after I was over with my hair pulling!! Lolz!! Frankly speaking....yes.... it is something u will definately remember....for its pluses and minuses!!
I also am glad that an Indian movie can compete with the best of Hollywood standards..in the technical fields!!! Oh man....the entire execution is worth a watch...
Out of the charectors..Irfan is the best...Anil Kapoor sometimes goes over the top...but yeah...appealing in most scenes...the rest of the males are also good...tho nothing better than that!! Sushma Reddy impressed me the most..she like very very cute lukin... acts pretty alright for her first movie...carries out the sexy and the cutie bits gracefully... and yeah...doesnt have much to do in the film...but yeah.....she\\\'s impressed me the most...
Copied idea from Usual Suspects. Bad direction, acting from the total cast making it a big misadventure. Worst part is the betrayal from Rediff reviews. One suggestion: Even if idea is new, dont assume that it would be acceptable to viewers. Take ur reviews seriously and sincerely.

the rediff review's headline is very misleading. and the contents of the review don't match the headline.
So are rediff reviews "paid for" by the producers? some reviews don't seem to give that impression. But this review for Chocolate is bad news man.
The movie is so amateur. Hindi films are doomed, our pop music (remixes) is doomed.

I never believed rediff reviews & I am correct this time as well..... Rediff reviewers are psycos.... How can they call it a good film...its nothing more than a waste of time & money... "Musafir" was a much much better film than chocolate but rediff discarded it completely....May I know how much bucks you guys have received from chocolate producers for writing this review.
the movie is good...thrills...styllish(its ok if its too hollywoodish)...keeps u at the edge of the seats...wats most important its different from the regular stuff from yash raj movies or the rgv factory(refer salam namaste..n james)..n that its been made by debutant director..it rocks...vivek..

Pls watch hollywood movies henceforth. Request you to give some constructive criticism and not any vague comments,
The entire plot of the film is a complete rip-off the English film "The Usual Suspects". Ofcourse, with a whole range of Hollywood films to copy from, why should the director stop at just one film. So he goes ahead and adds a lot of other scenes and subplots from other hollywood films.
Worse. The director doesn't even bother to Indianise it. It is so much easier to just set your film in London. Makes copying the plot so much easier.
Besides, if you want to copy plots so shamelessly, why not give credit to the original filmmaker? Why try to misguide people by saying it is inspired? Inspiration suggests a degree of original thinking, which the director of this film is obviously incapable of.
So the point is, should we patronise such shoddy cheating by recommendng other people to watch the film? Or should we just suggest watching The Usual Suspects, which would be a far superior cinematic experience anyway.
when film-makers cant pull out originals...they go for remakes....and when you go for a remake one should make sure its good if not the same like the original....atleast close to it....and chocolate heavily suffers....
and am surprised rediff didnt mention that chocolate is a remake of 'The Usual Suspects'....a bad remake

Mahesh Bhatt (the current baap of ORIGINAL films) made the best copy when he made DIL HAI KE MAANTA NAHI.
The film was sweet and funny, and though a copy, was written with a fresh approach.
Nowadays, copies are copies, and not INSPIRED.
For proof, watch Mallika Sherawat's trembling belly in the Adrian Lyne's UNFAITHFUL. Get it???
i think I will stop making decisions on the basis of your reviews. It was a helluva boring film and soooo slow that you wanna pull your hair! Yes, Irrfan, Anil and everyone else has been good in acting but it just comes back with loads of rubbish! The end just leaves you shaking your head in anguish and disbelief..... afterall, one would expect an intelligent twist to the story!! God save all of you who go and watch this film after reading the review! p.s. BBC Asian Network journalist was standing right outside my screen and I told her it was stupid film!

Chocolate is really a unique movie. The twist the story takes every moment is definitely worth seeing.U just cannot miss this movie. But yes i do agree that the end could have been made more interesting than it is shown but thats fine.
