I agree with Rajshekhar, Puneet Rajkumar is ugly. How can anybody be his fan? If looks are not a criteria to be on the big screen, then any street side actor could be a superstar. The only reason why ugly actors like Puneet Rajkumar and Shivrajkumar are superstars are because they are Rajkumar's sons
Apart from Veera Kannadiga till now Punneth has always impressed the audience and when Akash has just died from the mouths of most pple comes Basava and yet another perfect family entertainer mixed with comedy, action, masala and romance.... No i'm not saying tat its a different movie and its not happened at all before...Typical schoolboy stuff but Puneeth's acting and stunts put that extra awe into the movie and the movie survies to impress...
Coming out from longu macchu stuff ruling the kannada screens from the past 1 month this comes as a neat entertainer and a good time pass movie without much many complaints. Very good use of the simple story by the director.
Telegu star Kotta Srinivas plays the main villian who is ready to go to any extent to satisfy his grandson's cruel wishes....Avinash Basava's brother is a strict traffic police officer but Basava as usual is a road romeo who seems to hav dominated some most parts of the city as his adda and the rest is his enemy's. 1st half rulz with comedy and 2nd half more action oriented with the same hero / villian fighting for the heroine...
Guru's music is a super piece again...nothing new in it
Good Movie. Stunts are good as usual in Puneet's movies.
Puneet might not be good looking , but he has good work in all the films he has done so far. I like his acting ,dancing and stunts ( esp. Back kicks) . I believe he must lose some weight.
I had been waiting for a long time to express my feeling towards puneet. How the hell could such a ugly looking guy be an hero??. sorry to say this, but sincerely speaking if he was not Dr. Rajkumar's son, people wouldnt even sign him to play a joker or a even a goonda.

Man... You seriously need some tratment. Whoever told you that all heors have to be GOOD LOOKING. Haven't you heard of the saying that "beauty is skin deep". If he is dark it does not in ANY way reflect his loads of talents. You seem to forget that many of his movies have been HUGE hits...
Now get over this "Fair and lovely" syndrome and appreciate talent...
Namma Basava has a simple story with a neat narration.... Guru has given good songs as usual... Puneeth Rajkumar is unbeatable..uff he dances so professionally... His action is extra-ordinary... He is really, the Powerstar of sandalwood....
Puneet is currently the most promising star/actor in Kannada Industry. He acts well, fights better and dances amazingly. He is young, does not stick to a particular kind of films. Be not surprised that he will one day overtake Shivu, his brother.
Coming to "Namma Basava", it is action packed, entertainer. Fight sequences are excellently choreographed. Dances are really amazing and Puneet shines thorughout. That Upendra frantically released "Auto SHankar" (another cheap gimmick by Uppi) speaks volumes about the power of Puneet.
