Lord Hanuman

In this age of fast paced lives if more films can be made on our rich heritage and culture our new generation will have much less inclination at aping western culture . If we need to preserve our heritage more and more of such films need to be churned out which are entertaining as well as teach us the basic morals which have begun to fade out from our society today.

Wow Hanuman!
by Saibal M on Oct 22, 2005 07:15 PM

This one seems to be a winner right from the first scene. The film's pace makes it more absorbing throughout its entire length. The music is superb & the background score (picthed in the right places) is very much in sync. Notwithstanding the lack of detailing about the events of Ramayan, the film seems to be working and defitely entertains one & all. Finaly, toady's generation get a Indian superhero (if I can use that for a GOD) who have grown up idolising Spiderman, Superman, etc(mostly through films & tele-serials). Truly, worth a look. JAI HANUMAN...........

Know thy gods

Hello,

Let's not comment on, how the animation quality is? an how Hanuman is shown? or how good the music is? Try to teach and tell children about the gods of Indian mythology. We need to conserve our culture and tradition by teaching the children and youngsters about the rich legacy handed over to us by our ancestors. We need to inculcate awareness about Bhagavad Gita,Mahabharata and Ramayana, since they are the true treasures and gems not just for Indians but for whole of the mankind.Upanishads and Vedas are of great significance, they are the ones on which modern day science is based on.The westerners are showing more and more inclination towards these scripts and we are turning our back towards them.
Let's respect our own culture and learn and teach about heritage.

Mohan.

I also enjoyed animated ramayan. Contrary to what ur reviewer had said, Ramayan is well made and very informative. I believe I would also enjoy Hanuman. Your review and the first readers message clearly indicates that it should be worth watching for people all ages.

Dear Sir

I had been watching reviews about Hanuman in rediff and few other sites really great job
Specially the Little Hanuman character is excellent i m sure it will be the main attraction for the audience.

I would like to convey my best wishes to Mr samant
and all the team members (character artist, cleanup artist, background artist, special effect team, animator each and every person)who all are involved in this project. Its truely a great tribute to indian animation industry. and hope to see more such movies in future.

Secondly one thing i wish to mention it should have got released in all major part of the state, as i m currently in chennai i m not able to see such a wonderful movie, jst reading reviews and hearing frm various sites. I wish to see sooner.

Hanuman not relesed in Chennai
by Meeta Chablani on Oct 22, 2005 03:20 PM

I'd like to bring to the notice of animation filmmakers - There is a huge audience for animated movies in cities other than Mumbai and Pune also. I being an animator and there are many others like me who, after watching the trailers of 'Hanuman" were eagerly waiting to see it on screen. Come Friday, 21st Oct and we were excitedly making plans to go catch the film on Saturday. We searched the papers only to find that the movie had not been released at all in Chennai!!!
I would like to know why animation lovers in Chennai(kids and adults alike) are being deprived of a chance to watch the movie??
Is the movie meant for just audiences in Mumbai, Delhi and Pune??
Who is responsible for this? Is it Film distributors/ multiplex managers or the filmmakers themselves who have wrongly assumed that the film will not find an audience in Chennai???

Nice Work
by Vishal on Oct 22, 2005 12:48 PM

Saw the movie, it is really a nice work in terms of creativity as well as information for our new generations about our rich traditions and even Children are enjoying the class act. however, referring Lord Hanuman bit more respectfully(Lord Hanuman rataher than HANUMAN) in movie title and other places would have been better off, as even the target audience(New generations) are calling The great Hanuman as HANUMAN as if he is superman or spiderman. It will start as a wrong practice.
