hello, myself savi.s.mankame, i'm really impressed by piyush's answer infact we should be proud of him to have such an intelligent pedrson in our country who is answering all the questions answer logically, the way he answered was really impressive,I really feel he deserve to be a Crorepathi - 2.
The way which was adopted by him to select the right answer shows that defenitly he will reach the highness of KBC-2.
Extremely I appreciate him the choice of answer "Karva-E-Aman". Shri. Amita Bachhan sahb was also showing his great patriotism. Thanks to Shri. Bachhan sahb.
I am afraid your correspondent could have done well to check on basic facts, before saying that all the choices of question 11 were of 'Tamilians'. Of the four options, only one is a Tamilian -A.R. Rehman. Jayalalithaa is a Kannadiga, who was born in Mysore. MGR was a Malayalee hailing from Marudur in Palakkad, and Rajnikanth is from a Marathi and Kannada speaking bilingist family that has settled in Bangalore for several generations.
Is this a case of genuine oversight, or typical of the general perception among North Indians of all South Indians being 'Madrasis'?
There are more than half a dozen languages and dialects in the South, and Tamil is just one of them. The Telugus outnumber the Tamil population by some half a dozen crores, and the Kannada population is almost 80 percent that of Tamil.
Agreed, this is not a burning issue, but what stands out is the amazing lack of knowledge we have of our own countrymen! Is this again a case of the child crying loudest getting the most attention? Tamil political parties made a big noise against imposition of Hindi as the national language. Is that why this is the only linguistic group from the South that the North has heard about?
Either it is his luck ( seems unbelievable) or it is the " computerji's " brief intelligence lull in putting up challenging questions, or is it " Match Fixing" to drum up the interest, the questions doled out to him have been by far the easiest that any contestant thus far has received . Surprisingly no question on World War has figured, something which one contestant received very early on when he was asked one related to a vehicle which was made using steel from TATA and used somewhere in South Africa. I was able to answer all the questions without any "logical reasoning/ deduction" expect the one on the name of the bus from Srinagar which I would have flipped anyway. In fact the questions seemed to be getting easier as the amount increased.
