As Suhasini said it was said in a context about aids awareness.taking out of context can be dangerous.Tamilnadu has a very high aids affected people one should remember. There were days when tamil fans built her a temple after the movie 'Chinna thambi'[anari in hindi].she has seen enough love and probably now is the time to taste some hate. Its only few who is interested in cashing on this issue and misleading public.

¨Did She Wrong? ¨

Well,

Kushboo's view is basically interpreted wrongly. Kushboo was NOT wrong in my opinion. And she didn¡¯t say anything against Tamil/Indian culture. Though I can explain in depth, the summary will only be the following,

[] Kushboo has NEVER ment to have sex with multiple persons. And she only has said pre-marietal sex is not wrong with the loving partner

[] Marriage is NOT the requirement for having sex, because, sex is the extremity of love as evident from Thirukural, Agathinai Padalgal [supposed to be the mirror of Tamil culture beyond any question], which were written 2000+ years back.

[] Marriage is ONLY a social formality, to announce the society that the concerned couple will be together. Announcement is different from asking permission. I strongly believe that "love" between the couple is stronger/persistent/ever lasting than "social formality" such as marriage.

[] Virginity [in my opinion] is NOT LOST even if you have pre-marietal sex with your partner.

[] Virginity is by heart.

[] Virginity is common for both boy and girl. When a boy is not virgin,
he has no right to expect his partner as virgin.

Khushboo has not been doing so well now-a-days in movies (basically she has not been acting in movies for the past couple of months / years). This is one way of keeping her name heard in the news. I feel it is a political stunt to keep her name heard in the news.

Khushboo comment turns political

India is a democratic country and Khushboo has every right to air her views. The so called culture enforcers should be made paraiahs in india. This seems to be a classic case of certain people who think they know what indian culture is all about. They try to enforce this view on the younger generation. In truth they have no idea of what being indian is all about or the roots of indian culture.

In India now a days political parties lleaving all national and ecnomical issues go for such silly ugly issues. For want of geunine issues these parties take up sensational and communal passions and woo it for electoral gains. Tamilnadu having so many regional parties crave for such news involving cinema stars. They don't bother about curreption of ministers or scams.the unemployment or development issues.Theymay build temples and ready to die for their heros. They find solace in joining fans for the stars.

Khushboo's remarks

This entire episode makes one feel that the progress in India is all virtual and not real. Madras seems to be one of the most backward cities. Any logical person would agree with Khushboo. This is the height of hypocricy and backward thinking. Shame on all of them who oppose her views. Get a life and for those protesting, get a job

kushboo did nothing wrong
by mily on Oct 06, 2005 07:35 PM

the tamil culture is a very sweet and refined one but i am afraid tamil men are amongst the most chauvinistic in india. apart from the fact that there is nothing wrong in what the actress said, she should at any rate have the right to say what she thinks, without fear. tamil nadu has many problems like eve-teasing, female infanticide, crime against women, why don't these political parties do something to fix them instead of chasing down open minded individuals.
