yeah...last i heard, akshay had gone to australia to be a chef at some dosa restaurant..this was before he joined the movies, people..you've come a long way akshay...kudos to you my friend!

from the starting onwards akshay kumar is my favourite star.bcz he is a complete actor.i like him very much in dhadkan,jaanwar,ek rishta,hera pheri,waqt,khiladiyon ka khiladi,sangharsh,aitraaaz etc.he is my all time favourite

That was very well said. I really hate when these media people just exagerrate too much but no doubt akshay is very good actor
garam masala collected roughly around 10 crores in overseas, and paheli is somewhere at 12.5 crores mark. so this movie unable to cross off-beat movie of shahrukh khan. if you go by trade then veer zaara(30 cr) , kkkg(33 cr), ddlj(18 cr , not for sure),khnh(23 cr), kkhh(21 cr) main hoon na(19 cr), devdas(30 crs), dil to paga hai(17 crs)(all figures are for overseas business).
does Any of the akshay kumar movies ever touched these figures ..no for sure.
And i don't think even it crossed any movie's(iin above list) collections in india as well.

Garam Masala is till rockibg US whereas the collections of Paheli freezed after the opening week. To be frank Deewane Huye Paagal which was a flop in India (like Paheli) has rocked the UK charts and it is any day better than paheli. Moreover instaed of getting annoyed for overtaking shah rukh's movie u need to cheer bcos a no show called Akshay Kumar has arrived. Shah Rukh to is wonderful actor I love him too. But even u will agree Garam Masala entertained you more than paheli did. And how long will a movie run just to see the actor. Content does matter and Garam Masala even not a good attempt but is full of Light hearted entertainer. Cheers Akshay.
