i will not be agree with any of the commenters in the rediff. because the films that they wanted to change the endings, are perfect. and the commenters are being more filmi(1980's type)
Does anyone remember Sridevi-Rishi-Vinod Khanna starer Chandani? The movie should have ended with Sridevi marrying Vinod Khanna while Rishi Kapoor gets a lesson that today's woman can think with head and not just with heart. Committment is important than casual romance.
Two of the recent movies of which I would desperately like to change the end, are Ankhen and Kante. Both movies though were well told stories, at end succumbed to the unwritten and hypocritical morale rule of hindi movies i.e.: A thief can not escape with the money. Such wasteful end to two descent movies. 100 percent of Indian action movies are stolen (or so called Inspired) concepts from Hollywood movies. I wish towards the end the directors don't try to prove their genius and screw the movie top, bottom, left and right. It's a hearty request. When you copy an English movie at least do that sincerely.
it would have made more sense if the ending were a little less abrupt. shahrukh should have tried to talk manisha out of the suicide bombing, but she would still have gone on. In the end, srk would shoot her in the nick of time just when she was going to blow up the entire defence day parade, signifying that love for the country comes before personal love.
I feel Feroz khan , being the director of qurbani and Jaanbaaz, did unjustice to Vinod khanna's and Anil kapur's role.
Qurbani's climax is quite acceptable but I definitely would have changed Jaanbaaz's climax.
Jaanbaaz climax(suggested): Anil kapur , on realizing the intentions of shakti kapur, could have helped his brother and in return the law only punishes him for 2-3 years of imprisonment.
anyways the movie still became a hit, showing that people accepted it the way its made.
After this, Abhishek just takes the money and asks John to escape. John escapes without the catch and Abhishek is successful in saving the hotel's money and above all, making a friend who he would never see again in his life "
I would change the course of the movie Salaam Namaste, wherein Saif ali Khan would discover that he could not commit to Priety Zinta was because he is actually in love with Arshad Warsi. This could also explain why Arshad was constantly fighting with his own wife. They both realise how much they love each other and continue to lead a life that is happy and 'gay'. Now that would spark of a controversey wouldn't it ?
In the movie, Dilip Kumar should not shoot AB in the back but only on his leg. He should be given imprisonment and then re-unite with Smita patil and his child
