Hello,

He's great 'coz he's been exploited by Priyadarshan, none of the other directors could do this.. Bansali,Adoor are the exceptions..

Just take a look at the career of Paresh Rawal...

Love,
Jana Yedar

Kyun ki- copy of One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest
by Lee on Dec 06, 2005 11:56 PM

"KYUN KI" is the copy of the film "One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest"-1975 (5 Oscar winning, including best actor, Jack Nicholson). Priyadarshan is famous for copying English movies and introducing it in malayalam and then to Hindi since his early days. Nonetheless his works are praise-worthy. The malayalam edition "Thalavattam" was a major hit and those films really moved malayalam film scene.

Salman does the role of a mental patient in the film. The comedy in this version is done better by Salman though. It's a very good movie to watch and his performance, as Priyan says can be considered great. But call a spade a spade, this film is meant to be a flop in Hindi. It would be better if Priyan becomes bit more choosy in his remakes. All malayalam films can't be remade in Hindi. Moreover after seeing the original movie we will forget this duplicate edition for sure.

KYON KI IS THE BEST MOVIE.
by moammer on Dec 03, 2005 07:53 PM

Big cheers to salu bhai for excellent acting. He is the best and always the most best looking. I find the movie very exciting and really good. the story was really fine and good. Now if other people have problem with this film the they should take a hike. Go act yourself and then say if the film is good or not. People can easily say the bad things first and good things need to take time. I think all of them perfomed well. Wish u all a good luck and specially to Salman Khan. The best there and the best there ever will.

''One flew over the cuckoo's nest'' with a hint of ''Khamoshi''
by Praveen on Nov 17, 2005 09:09 PM

The movie based on a Malayalam film..fine. But the most original is "one flew over the cuckoo's nest" based on Ken Kensey's novel. If you see this film you will be simply stunned. It haunts you for a long time.
it had won five major Oscars: Best Picture, Best Actor (Nicholson), Best Actress (Fletcher), Director, and Screenplay.
"Kyon ki" copies a lot of scenes, the main theme and the climax from "one flew.." The "vote for music scene", the climax scene with Jackie and even the setup look very similar to "one flew" . Ofcourse the love story angle with both ladies is somewhat different. Yet it seems like a lame addition to make the film different but it takes away the shock factor and the strenght of the main theme that you see in the (sic) original-original. I would recommend seeing "one flew..". You will love the film. Just plain, powerful story telling without unnecessary weight.

Salman Rocks in Kyoun ki
by Farizeh on Nov 17, 2005 02:39 PM

i think those who considers that salman was no good should get admitted in a mental asylum coz if any one acted great in the movie was Salman ( and i second priyadarshan that he has defeated mohanlal in the original). As for the other dewali movies i guess they were nothing but piece of craps coz they dont have a proper story line n the other thing was LOUD acting as if we are not watching a movie but are wathing a theatre drama.
Well here is for Salman

" SALMAN U ROCK MAN"
