Aish is not even successful in India. Forget about US/UK.5 people who took India to the world stage were/are: 1.Raj Kapoor(Russia) 2.Satyajit Ray 2.Amitabh Bachchan(Middle east/Parts of Europe) 3.Shahrukh Khan( UK/US) 4.Mira Nair(US/UK) 5.Shekhar Kapoor(US/UK) Besides them no one has been able to take indian films abroad on there shoulders.May be its time for Aish to wake up and face reality, doing a jagmohan Mundhra film is not about going to hollywood.SRK & Aamir khan are a better bet than Aish for international markets. And why is she bad mouthing Indian Press?Even when India press has given her more than what she deserves.
Aish has to be a hit first at her own place(India) b4 moving to other grounds.Not everybody is as talented as Jackie Chan or Ang lee or John woo that they can just walk into hollywood and be succesful.Period
Aishwarya is a multitalented personality. She is beautiful, a good actress and a good human being. She has made our country proud. Poor gal does not react even when people have been unjust with her. Such a beautiful gal and was made second in the Miss India contest of false beliefs that she is unintelligent and egotist, etc. etc. when she is not so. She deserved to be Miss India - Universe. Beauty is beauty. Just giving answers to some stupid question is not all. In that way, many other gals can give better answers than Susmita. That does not mean that you give the first place to that gal who just answers to question but does not look good. There hasn't been any other gal so beautiful as Ash even after a decade after she won the crown. Sushmita could have been given a second place. Now, that Ash is such a good actress, the actress is not given her dues. What ever it is, I wish Ash all the best and lots of success. God bless you Ash!
Why so many folks hate Aishwarya Rai I dont understand. She is a very good actress. To want proof just go and watch Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam, Devdas, RainCoat and Choker Bali. It is just that she is a complete director's actress. We need more talented directors like Sanjay Leela Bhansali, Reetu Parno Ghosh and Raj Kumar Santhoshi to capture her talent on screen. Even Amitabh Bachchan did fully crap movies in 80's and 90's. Because there were no good directors in that period. Its only now that directors are writing good parts for him.
Now that the Western press is paying attention to her she is badmouthing the Indian press...the same press that sang her beauty in the early days and got her where she is today.
Aishwarya is not proving herself in Hindi films... now she she wants to try her luck in Hollywood... She is getting desperate for a hit by doing some 'artificial'ly hot scenes with Zayed Khan... Use your brains like Sushmita Sen... whose acting is always appreciated whether her films do well or not... take a leaf out of Sush's book!
I live in USA and I watched both the letterman and the Oprah show.Way to go Aishwarya! Your answers are intelligent, smart and very witty. I didn't feel she put down India in any way infact she very cleverly managed a lot of controversial questions. By the way Ash said the reason behind high sales of skin ligtening creams is due to the'matrimonial demands'. Why blame Ash for it? aren't men foolish enough to be so superficial.I know an african girl who has married a white guy, they are happy....is this possible in India?I wonder Anyway moving to Ash she is the best person to represent India due to her good IQ and confidence. All others like mallika seem to be like only strippers who want to be recognized only for their body and not for the whole personality. BUT but.. Ash has to improve on her taste for clothes...her dressing sense is very bad.Also she needs to wear a bindi if she is representing India...it will look good on her.I study in a US univ and I wear a bindi and am liked by everyone. So be a proud Indian..there is not a better life than being an Indian and a hindu.
