Joe Satriani is a great musician whom I'd admired since i was in Shillong. The G3 concert recording was really a great source of inspiration. The riffs and the scales are mind blowing and the effects are really fantastic. After Jimmi Hendrix, these guitar gods are worth remembering by every young budding guitarists, musicians, composers and all alike. All the best.Let God be praised for all theses talents!

Satch in Mumbai
by Adarsh Varghese on May 18, 2005 04:22 AM

The write-up on Joe Satriani's Mumbai gig was good. Raja Sen did a great job of mentioning how unappreciative and ignorant we Indians can be at times.
Its sad that Satch didnt get a more discerning, solo inclined audience. I hoped so much that I could be there.

I agree with Raja... When it comes to Musical awareness and variety, you just can touch them bhongs, which goes to show that organisers must consider giving Kolkata its fair share of gigs, and also consider cities like Chennai.

wtg Raja...HAIL Satch!!
