has to be one of the sensible comedy shows
by raj on Jul 06, 2008 09:03 PM

sure it has PJs, and some corny jokes, or it veers off as being elite.

but it takes the cake with some fine performances from maya, roshesh, and indravdan.

at least its not the oft repeated cheap slapstick.

it might be too sophisticated, but sadly we dont have any in that category to dismiss this one!

its a welcome break from regular nightmares of ektas.

everyone just do their job - the direction too is spot on.

Great work!

Sarabhai vs Sarabhai stands out as a classic comedy show in the lines of Deviji and dekh bhai dekh . No vulgarity, loud dialouges or gaudy make up. It is the expressions and dialogues which are the highlights of the show.Great work by Karima(Deven). What can one comment on greats like Satish shah and Ratna pathak-shah. They carry the show on their shoulders with extreme ease.Eagerly waiting for the crossover between the two great comedy shows. Great work by Atish kapadia.

Sarabhai v/s Sarabhai

I try my utmost not to miss any episode.Effect of the punch lines is heightened by the accompanying sound effects.Best part is that there is no slapstick comedy involved. One has to pay utmost attention lest he/she misses out on "between the lines" jokes.I am sure the team must be having a ball while shooting and I certainly them."HATS OFF" to the director as well as the cast.
