no other man like u,u r the one & only person who catch the millions of heart through music,u r the sweet son of the music & no one can catch the place of isaipuyal
Give credit to A.R.Rahaman. He is a trailblazer. He brought international orchestration to Indian music. But he has lost his way of late. His forte has always been his archestration. Ilayaraja's strength is his melodious tune creation. If we can combine Raja's tunes with Rahamans orchestra, well that will be awesome.
It was our good friend Rahman who started the trend of loud 'music' in Tamil. Illayaraja's soft numbers ruled till Rahman blasted his way in... And now, when Raja's son Yuvan Shankar Raja, an amazingly talented guy, has bettered Rahman, our friend suddenly favours soft music. Yuvan has already measured Rahman, weighed Rahman and passed the verdict: "Rahman is a sound engineer." And that's how the posterity that he talks about will remember him.

Well ARR has won 4 national awards any more than a dozen filmfare awards.he is the only indian MD to have an international presence. Illayaraja was great. Yuvan is good. But to demean ARR in this fashion only tells that you have absolutely no knowledge of music and you are just another IR fan, the same IR whose downfall was brought about by a certain ARR.

If AR Rehamn is a Sound Engineer, then I guess U can call Yuvan Shankar Raja a Sound Recordist or better a Remix Engineer .. no one can match up to either Ilayaraja or ARR ...

HI Venkatesh,
If you trace back in History you'll find we've had loud music all along. Attributing it to an individual is not correct. And even if he did that why did people follow him.I have respect for all composers but if you think Ilayaraja has not done loud music then rethink....

Its ignorance to call it this way...Rahman has proved to be an all rounder. I would like to recall the fact that b'coz of his soft nos. initially...he was well recognized....I mean Roja...except 1 song all are soft nos. He was sucessful in giving a total new music, a new revolution started thereby. Yuvan is still very immature to comment about Rahman's success / style.
