I have consistently been disappointed by the horrible editing and writing at Indian websites/news sources. Philadelphia is not a state, it is the largest city in the state of Pennsylvania. This is no small mistake- it would be akin to saying "in his home state of Nagpur" or "his home state of Mumbai."
