I am a tamil guy from karnataka. I also like Rajni. I have seen most of his movies. I understand that he has the mass appeal. Still, I REALLY DO NOT feel comfortable, when a "Non-tamil guy" rules the tamil film world to this extent.This NEVER happens in any other state. Howcome, we, tamilians ALWAYS make non-tamils so popular, when they fail in other states (like Rajni couldnot prove himself in Hindi movies) ? Is it possible for a tamil guy to be so popular in any other state ? I donot think so.

Enough of it yaar ! Just come out of your sectorial entrapment. Rajni is success because of his hardwork and luck. As they say, Fortune always favours the brave. He has had a great stride as an actor and people admire him on the screen for he is able to provide sheer entertainment to all ages of people ranging from 3 to 100. After all, entertainment is what we need at the end of the day after watching a movie. And Rajni provides it. That's his job and he is successful at it. Anybody can excel at any place regardless of any barriers provided the hardwork, dedication and some fortune. Hope you begin taking things in a better way.

Forget abt heroes. Did you know that Hemamalini and then after her Sri Devi were all Tamil heroines who made it big in Hindi? They ruled Hindi movies for a long time.
But still, Heroes from the south generally do not make it big in Hindi.
But again, I know that Director Mani Ratnam, AR Rahman, and Kamal Hasan have great fans in Hindi industry too.
