Before `Manampola Mangalyam', Gemini had acted in Gemini's `Moonru Pillaigal' and Gemini's 'Miss Malini' whose hereoine Pushpavalli, mother of Rekha, is alleged to have been attracted and infatuated by handsome Gemini and seduced him. `Manampola Mangalyam' is a romantic movie which conveyed to the audience the genuine meaning of love through Gemini and Savithri. Savithri just did not act. The love was real. `Missiamma' was a classic romantic comedy and will kindle laughter even if it is screened today. The audience will feel lighter. Gemini had grace, culture, education, vigour, vitality and above all a beautiful face cut which is the Grace of God. He never overacted. His acting was natural and enjoyable. The audience felt one with him. That was his greatness.
