I think the editors should get rid of the stupid comments made by jealoused people. Like the one comment made says that Indian empire cannot beat american empire. What the hell is person trying to say?? (Indians are capable or anything...) Journalism will spread this kind of news because its true. Just because a whitewashed coconut does not like the fact of India beating america, please don't stop publishing such articles and keep up ur good work. WE have beaten US in computers, pharma and there is much more to come..... Jai Hind.
I donot believe so! American business calculates ahead of time, plans ahead of time and tries its best to realise its goals ahead of time. I think American policy these days is hovering and veering around its perenial thirst for the "oil reserves" or fossil fuels of all the Nations of this world, tapped or untapped. It has gone oil or gas mad, abandoning rational thought, human interest, the priciples of co-existence, cooperation and the brotherhood of nations. For Rev. Bush it is almost like wild west of the John Wayne days, killing humans worldwide for oil quest. The latest visit of Dr.Condaleza Rice is a pointer in that direction, where she warned India and Pakistan not to proceed with the gas pipeline deal. First, they tried the Iran-Iraq war to weaken both these nations. USA has been key supporter of Islamic fundamentalism to suit its long term objectives. Islam's fundamentalist upsurge worldwide was effectively used to divide India, Arab nations, Soviet Union and the Iran. One by one these very agressive Islamic nations are now being taken over starting with Afghanistan, then Iraq and now targeted Iran. So who says Empire is coming to a dead end?
What use it is to live in a dream where american empire is coming to an end and the Indian empire will rise. Live real and stop dreaming and stop such crap journalism.
Lord David Putnam..I am indeed surprised to hear the news.. where does it happen this way elsewhere except in Europe? Is it a gut feeling or adventure to post a film personality to the highest office of an educational institution..I am reminded of my parents always rebuking me in my younger days not to see films and waste time as it would spoil my career and life.. both were perceived to be at loggerheads as far as youngsters were concerned.. But now? Nevertheless, such creative personalities would certainly contribute some creative ideas in the educational systems too, I believe! lLet this come true in case of Mr. David too!
I wish I get an opportunity to associate with him for spreading his message in India!
