The movie was good, except that I was a bit disappointed in the performance put up by Konkana sen. She left a lot to be desired.

In sharp contrast, some of the other characters put up noteworthy performances. I must mention here the small but very effective role played by radio guy Yuri. He had a screen presence that left an impact. As bad guys on screen go, this guy may well replace the good ole baddies of Bollywood.

I wonder why all the new age cinema need a NRI returnees perspective all the time. Why do we need these nriwallahs to make a new age movie believable. Is it a deep sense of insecurity in all that is native.
It is time you guys gave us respect. indians like us who live in the grime and dust of the cities and the villages in the dirt bowels of the country. It is a matter of perspective my dear writer. You would like to believe that the nri returnee is more wiser and has licence to be judgemental of all and sundry and therefore you without fail make him the protagnists of your stories. We dont need em nriwallahs my dear writer we are capable enough to be judgemental as we have been honed sharpened wizened by the daily rigours of life in india.

Are you not tired of dividing?? i mean if it is not religion, caste, state, ethnicity, gender, social status, north-south, then it is now resident - non-resident issue is it? I mean why can't you just watch it as a story with some value in it.

As far as us non-nriwallahs are concerned it is obvious what kind of movies we dish out (Kuch kuch.., kabhie kabhi.., kal ho na ho.., crap crap, nonsense...). Atleast let us try to appreciate a decent effort instead of bringing all our racist mentalities into it. [Indians i have always felt are the most racist of them all, it is a miracle our country is still united, even if that unity is a very delicate one..]

Saw the movie, and was delighted by the no- dogma no- lecturebaazi approach to corruption at all places in Desh. A good movie, that doesnt bore, mildly entertains, and restores one's faith in the ability and values of the younger generation. Acting is good, plot creative, photographic ga ga, (only time saw Jaisalmer better was Meenaxi) and overall effect- a smile and not a frown.

Wish the young team well, and hoping the movie will be a success so that we get to see more of this type.
