I saw amir :-)
by amir fan on Jan 08, 2006 02:43 AM

It was july 13,2004. I and my husband went to watch a movie (Lakshya)in Fun Republic multiplex, Mumbai.
We went into the theatre and as the national anthem was playing everyone was standing. After that when everybody sat down and settled, there was a group of people coming towards the exit from the front. To my ecstacy, it was Amirkhan in his mangal pandey costume in between his body gaurds. I was elated and overjoyed But to my surprise everyone else in the theatre was watching him without any feelings but a little whispering. As no one approached him or waved to him, we too decided to stay calm. He is very fair and has good body. His walk was confident and royal. I was so happy that throughout the movie I kept thinking if this all happened for real.

And that day was my birthday, too. I was very thankful that Amir made my day beautiful and worth remembering.

Punctured My Dreamz!!!!
by Priya on Mar 14, 2005 06:31 PM

This is one of the most hilarious meeting, it was mid June terrible Delhi summer, and I am on my way to meet my friend. I am coming out of my house and going towards the ring road, which has a very small by lane, I see one Honda city parked right in the middle of the road making it hard for me to drive ahead, i honk a couple of times, then i get irritated as I am already late. I get down and knock the stranded car window, and to my surprise i see Aamir Khan, showing me his hand while he is busy talking over the cell phone. After he finishes his call, he apologizes and explains that his car is punctured and etc etc.
I to my surprise ask him instantly, if I could be of any help without even thinking that I have a small Zen with the petrol tank touching empty, I might not be able to switch on my AC. There he gives me his killing smile and asks me a lift till his friends place. Oh wow!!!! That was the most 20 mins. I could have ever asked, and there rings my morning alarm, and didnt even let me take an autograph. But well i met him in my dream but it was more than reality.

Aamir Khan Encounter
by Jyothi Venkatesh on Mar 14, 2005 01:57 AM

Though as a seasoned film scribe I have had occasions to come close to most of the mega stars, Aamir Khan has always been very special for me, I cannot forget his down to earth demeanour when I had gone to watch a play at St Andrews Auditorium about eight years ago and he had coime with his wife Reena to watch the same play. He was seated in the first row on the lefy while I was seated in the second row in the middle. Though I did not want to disturb his privacy though my wife pointed out that Aamir was in the auditorium, the moment he spotted me he came upto where I was seated to shake my hand and sat hello to me. Tell me how many stars can you count with your fingers who can do this spontaneously without any trace of ego? Let me through Rediff wish Aamir a happy birthday and tell him that he should at forty turn naughty

AAMIR & MY ENCOUNTER
by Soma Chatterjee(Chakraborty) on Mar 12, 2005 09:59 PM

One of my life's most cheerished moment was when I met Aamir Khan in Kolkata's Emami Shoppers. He along with Ashutosh Gowareker and Satyajit Bhatkal, the writer of "The Spirit Of Lagaan"had come to promote this book, which contained the memories and experiences during the making of "LAGAAN".It was 17th April,2002, when one of my dream's came true.On seeing the promos in various newspapers that Aamir Khan is coming to town to promote a book I got thrilled.I wanted to make this opportunity a successful one.Aamir has been my heart throb since QSQT,and I never changed my hero.
My first encounter with him was a very silly one, and I still do not know why Ihad behaved in such a manner then.Aamir was in his Dil Chahata Hai style, with a tight black t-shirt and jeans. On seeing him so close I just could not believe my eyes.It was so very different an experience that I 'm still unable to express. My dream- to see AAMIR KHAN coming true. When my turn for autograph had come, I started crying. It was so silly of me.AAMIR KHAN telling me"Soma why are you crying?",and myself telling him,"Aamirji today my dream has come true." will be a wonderful life long memory for me.
