rediff.com would like to make us believe that southern cinema only includes tamil and malayalam cinema. i am sure that they have a tamil journo doing this part of their activity who does not even know the existence of any other place other than chennai and trivandrum. its as if Telugu movies and a huge industry does not exist at all for these guys. its a shame on reporting....better call it tamil spice....
first of all, i would like to advice people all over the world not to read Rediff articles about S.Indian cinema stuffs ...there are "hazaar" better sites that give equal importance to all regional cinemas ...
We south indians know much better about indian films ,because we see both South indian movies as well as bollywood movies ...so when we compare and say that a good number of South movies have really cool and talent stuffs ...we really MEAN it ..
but in general many of the North Indians(not all) don't know a thing abt south movies ..they don't even bother to watch any south indian movie and simply comment that Bollywood is the best....
If u guys had watched some super hits movies of the south in Tamil,Telugu and Malayalam , then u wud understand that there is something outside Bollywood to look at ....
grt people like AR Rahman, Kamal Hassan , Chiranjeev , Mohanlal , Shivaji Ganesan ,Ilayaraja, NTR,MGR ,Mammooty have done miracles in their respective industries than many of the current bollywood so-called IDOLS who turn stars overnight..
rediff - just understand and give equal importance to all the sections of people .....do not think BOLLYWOOD is the world!!!!!
