Satyajit Ray, Adoor Gopalakrishnan, Aravindan, Padmarajan, Maniratnam,Kamal Hassan, K.Viswanath, Girish Kasaravalli, Mrinal Sen are all not Indians?
What a frog-in-thje-well mentaility this guy seems to have!

Vidhu vinod Chopra

Vidhu vinod chopra has the intensity as Gurudutt had. 1942 a love story and Mission Kashmir are examples of this. Kareeb was a clean love story. Donno how Yagna will turn out to be. Music wise all these three films are very good. He will be remembered at least for music in his films. Hope he would make (Direct) more films with serious subjects.

As someone just urged Mahesh bhatt to wake up, i would request him to direct movies rather than seeing Hollywood movies and writing scripts (translating into Hindi) for some forgettable Hindi movies. Mahesh ji, are you listening? He is also currently into Be-imani: a song in Tamanna was stolen from the works of Maqdoom Mohiuddin (if you dont know who he is, 'phir chidi raat baat phoolonki' from Baazaar is his work) and credits were not given to Maqdoom. More shameful thing he did is not responding to Maqdoom's son's petition in court!

Mr. V.V. Chopra sounds too self centered. I like his movies, they are different and attaining some standards. But are they really great as Mr. Chopra pose them. I don't think he has achieved that material yet. 1942..was a great work but then he fell down. Did'nt see any one from his banner even Munnabhai is not the quality. It was a hit but not quality of Bimal Roy, Gurudutt types. They maintained quality and that's what everybody is lacking today. They can't repeat the frame and the shade of the movies as intense as they were in their debut. Ramu is doing better job, both in his produced and Directed movies. His movies are coming without compromise with that intense shades and that style of sound and cinematography. Now that's what we would like to have from you Mr. Chopra. A consistency. You can't sell the idea that Munnabhai was a classic just based on Box office details and Whether Fox productions bought it for their Next outcome. Secondly the good movies are need not be hit, rather they should be sold in the mass it is required to. Look at Yuva, now that's again not a success in your terms, may be, but it was a great message and great work as Mani always is, revolutionary.

Nice VVC

Nice to c gud ppl. in movie industry trying to make gud films. Spending 1 year, 3 years on a movie script itself shows VVC's dedication. He's right when he said 'If 1 bad movie runs, many follow it'. It's true with good movies too.

Wake up Mahesh Bhatt, Look u'r past and start making gud ones again. plzzz.

mr.vidhu,

please dont say you are the only director around spending too much time on scripts ????????
what high standarads do you expect to gauge you after giving some average to below average films to the industries
