Thats a great movie great script. Even Titanic also adopted the same formula of 1942 love story (telling a love story in Chaos and confusion)
Film is art of story telling that captivates and entertains majority. Based on this citeria
Mother India, Guide, Devdas, Satarnj Ke Khiladi, Seema, Waqt, Dilwale Dhulahnia Le Jainge, Dev, Pyasa and Mughl e Azam and Awara are the best ten movies of may be fifty or fifty five years.
Firstly a lot of fuss is being made just because THE TIME MAGAZINE has included five Indian films in its list.would there be so much fuss if any of our Indian magazines listed the best 100 movies in history!!!! As for their selection, I feel that the west hasn't seen much beyond Ray & a few parallel film makers & as for Mr. Sreeram's selection, I feel that he should remember that ther are some gems in our country like Mother India,Pyaasa & Awaara too.
u did not consider films like Meghe Dhaka Tara,Roti,Mother India,Sujata,Bandini,Parineeta,Satyakam,Golmaal,Pyaasa.Kagaz ke Phool,Silsila,Khamosi,Black,Mughal-e-Azam,Arth,DDLJ.
