I think the whole point of a review is that it is from the viewpoint of the writer, it doesn't mean that you have to accept his/her word as gospel. If I really wanted to watch a film I wouldn't take some reviewer's word that it wasn't good as I don't personally know the reviewer and his/her taste could be the complete opposite of mine. I've read quite a few messages here and it seems people are more intent in berating peoples' reviews rather than post their own comments on a flick. So guys come on, be a bit more grown up and constructive and make up your own mind about films. If you don't agree with someone viewpoints, there really is no point in making personal attacks against that person. After all freedom of speech exists for a reason doesn't it? Ok I'll shut up now as I'm going to watch Virudh :)
u rock man what a wonderful review i 100%(truly) agree with u bout it...no doubts that u wrote a review which enacts an exact picture... the movie is gud pre-interval but streches in the post-interval section... keep on writing future reviews..
I saw Virudh and all I remember is AB and his acting. Sharmila Tagore has also done good job, but the movie belongs to AB. The second half is bit unconvincing, lacks depth. The movie holds out coz of AB's acting skills, I just wished the director wud have given litle bit more depth nd intesity in showing the struggle of old parents and their fight against the system. Neverth less it is good one and bit different from all typical revange seeking stories. One scene I just can't forget is when AB remembers his laughter club days and tries to laugh when things r going down hill. Great acting!!!
Virudhh is a movie which proves yet again that there is and won't ever be any replacement to Big B. OOOOOOps sorry I meant BIG B.
Go watch it guys. Alright, the movie has unnecessary brand promotions thrown in, some strange court scenes and not much to do for Sanjay Death. (i gave him that name after Musafir) but remember people we are talkin about a movie. And honestly speaking I ve never understood the need for a movie to be practical and grounded to reality. What's the use of going for it then??
It's a movie. It's good. It's got wonderful performances by all. It moves you. Touches your heart and it's got BIG B.
I do agree with the crowd. Films like Bunty aur bublie and so many Chopra/Johar/SRK movies are rated so very high. Trend is to make non contemporary nowadays so why not appreciate somebody who is trying different. Rajkumar Santoshi, Ram Gopal verma try different movies every time. Different topic. For Rona dhona and love stories there are TV serials and people can watch that. I would support all directors, producers actors who want to give different to the audience.
Way to go Mahesh Manjrekar and all the directors who want to make such good movies.
