ash certainly deserved the award.her perfpormance in raincoat was one of the best female performances of all times.i don know dout tara as i hvnt watched that movie.ash is sooner or later going to win the award
i saw raincoat , ash cant act , she shd have stuck to something which doesnt require her to emote , coz she cant , at best she's wooden and at her worst she was quite tiring in the movie it is just carried on ,on the able shoulders of ajay devgan , she was bitchy and stuck up in bride and prejudice , the other actors were better , give me sushmita sen in main aisa hi hoon, any day , that woman is getting better with every movie ,

i do think tara is the best deserved for this award when compared to ash in raincoat.her performance is outstanding n i think jury has selected the right person for this award

ALso, it is surprising that ghosh cant even remember the name of the actress who got the national award the same day it was announced.. He refers to Tara as "the girl" ... Ridiculous to say, the least!
Tara is far better actress than Ash...I've not seen her movie but I'm sure she must have acted very well and really deserved the award...Unlike Ash who acts once in a while...
I was delirious when Aish was kicked out of being a prize winner. When I heard that the old jaded non actress, zero talent Aish got the National Award I was shaken, my mother was also very angry. The interview with Sushmita was great she looked real fab compared to Old rotten Egg aunty Aish!
