I am Ninad Vaidya.I hail from Dombivli(One of the suburbs near Mumbai).I was shocked on hearing the news of Mr.Jaywant Kulkarni's demise.He was known for his enthusiasm and energy in the Marathi World.Some of the Marathi songs sung by him are simply awesome.He was an inspiration to young Marathi singers.May his soul rest in eternal piece.Many condolences to his family.
Even as a native speaker of Konkani, I love listening to marathi songs, bhajans and watching marathi nataks and films. We thank the late Shri Jaywantji for his contribution in enriching our lives through his songs. May his memory live on.
Though I am Bengali, I am B & B in Mumbai. I hear Marathi songs & deeply mourn Jayawant Kulkarni's demise. He sang some of very fine songs. U can listen Dada Kondke's songs (Provided U know Marathi)I appeal all private channels to broadcast local songs may be marathi or bengali instead of senseless English one.
