Parveen Babi

A very beautiful and honest being. It is due her honesty that she could not agree with dual standards of life around her. Only when human beings are "sensitive, truly sensitive" that they end up being alone / hurt / and withdraw from life, including relationships which are often not very honest, mostly from the other side. The gap between how it is told / tought and what it really is, kills these genuine souls. Parveen Babi, a true soul with an amazingly "khubsoorat" face and smile:you will be missed by everyone who saw even a glimse of any of your films....leave aside people who saw you in life and blood...humko tumse ho gaya hai pyaar kya karein..bolo toh jiyein, bolo toh mar jaayein...ho humko tumse...and Parveen died.

apathy of Film Fraternity

It is really very sad that when Parveen was going thro' such hard phase even her contemporaries female actresses could not take the initiative to recover her & even after her death no one turn up to offer the respect. It reflects the offscreen irresponsible behaviour.

Parveen Babi will remain as a memory

Her death some how doesnt come as a surprise though one always wished she found peace and happiness somehow. Especially for those of us who are of her age, and had seen her bright and impressive glamorous portrayals on the screen it is more touching and we shall always miss her. It was fate that she landed up with the mental debility, which cracked her up finally. It is not just the pretty face or her acting talents which need to be highlighted but the fact that carried herself gracefully in public and private life, all the way facing turmoil in her private hell (those who are familiar with the stress and mental illnesses will know the true impact of the devastating stress each second of life ). Well , she is gone but would always remain a good memory touching a chord somewhere inside many of us in this world.

its pathetic how bad we indians are at understanding a person.a person suffering from paranoid schizophrenia feels that he/she is the center of all the activities that are going on and always has the fear of being exposed to the world.
mahesh bhatt said that he left her alone as her disease made her socially withdrawn but as a learner of human psychology if mahesh bhatt had a chunk of understanding he would have not said it.
the person wants the support of people and needs to be comforted not by many but a few people, just few of them, may she would have blossomed again.
