Subhash Ghai has lost his touch. Music always used to be his trump card. Movies like, Karz, Hero,Ramlakhan, Saudagar, Pardes, Taal were huge hits, mostly because of its music. But his last movie Yaadein had a very poor sound track, and there is not even one single track in Kisna which one would like to hum or even remember. Even the choice of his scripts are old fashioned. It is retirement time buddy
Consider this --" Kisna is a return to form by a director who knows exactly what he's doing." Ask ghai if he himself is sure wat he's doing.. Kisna is one of the most dumb movies ever made..no story ,pathetic editing thats describe it.. Rediff :- If thats the standard of your reviewer then God save you
When you say Subhash Ghai knows what he's doing , you are not being honest. Why otherwise would he strive and conclude a good story in one and half hours, and still leave the audience to languish for another 10 minutes into useless chitter chatter between two old frail ladies ? When you say he did justice with the songs, pray how do you mean ? By not picturising them in conitnuity ? Or by inserting them randomly ?
Even then he fails to convince us 'Indians' how Kisna was able to keep his wife happy , if what she got was a husband but not his love. Wasnt that the whole point of Silsila's end i.e. there shall not be a husband without love for his wife ?
Everyone in the hall, and quite a mnay of them , expected Isha Sharvani to be hanging from a tree , by the end (or was it the middle of the end ?) , because thats what she was doing in half the movie.
I guess i wouldnt have been this dissatisfied if i hadnt read your prise for the movie.
JUNK MOVIE.......Un-necessary NUDITY.........Laxmi(Kisna's wife) just needs a chance to exhibit her ROPE YOGA........the English score is very good....too much hype for an ordinary movie.
Subhash Ghai has lost his mind. apart from music nothing is good in the movie. Vivek Oberoi should follow his father's footsteps and do character roles. He is not fit to be a hero.
An intellectual review for a non-intellectual film. Well done. After all it is a commercial movie. It appears that the title "Kisna" has been chosen to draw the attention of the Indian crowds. The most practical director of Bollywood - Subhash Ghai - knows that; and he also knows how to catch commercial excellence. The production seems to succeed in both the markets - home and abroad.
Continuing with the reviews of "kisna" by Raja sen, he seems to be total awe with the movie and has compared it with the likes of Lagaan. I personally have a feeling he is trying to promote a dead movie which is unwatchable.
The movie seems to be totally crammed up, the heroine seems to be always hanging beneath the pipal tree, the rape scene where Antonio is standing with the price charming trying to rape her was distateful, there is always confusion and chaos around.
The director doesn't have patience to let the climax build up and lacks the signature of a typical "Subash Ghai movie"
But what i find surprising is Raja sen giving high accolades for every scene as if Archana Puran Singh laughing in awe "Kya scene hai" for every scene portayed, either the Reviewer doesn't know his work or he seems to be promoting the movie.
