The tsunami has hit everyone hard and especially the ones who boar its brunt. Peeya's experience had just made me realize as to how vulnerable and helpless we are in front of nature ; but then the positive side would be that we all have realized that a natural force in the form of "tsunami" exists.It has also forced many scientists to actually dwell into such a subject in depth, the outcome of which I am sure would help humanity in the future.

During the tsunami we were at Sea returning to Kolkata by ship 'Harsha-Vardhana'. We could experience nothing either earthquake or any difference in the sea water.It was as normal like the previous day. At the time we were informed from a radio news that an earthquake took place and one person appears to have killed. But after some hours when we gone through the news from various radiostn, we could imagined the destructiveness of the killer tsunami. Even some stn has broadcast that south of Kolkata was affected and people left their houses. But this was proved false as on 27 th morning we made contact with our children at Kolkata through mobile and also reached safely at evening.
