Great effort by Vinod Panday
by Abhay Mishra on Apr 06, 2005 02:20 AM

I would like to thank Vinod Panday for this movie...Its realy tough to make any movie on such a sensetive and controvertial subject, but the movie is based on a true story........so it must come before everyone that what is happening in our society, I will appreciate Vinod's effort.

Movie could have make better than this but i can understand that it was low budget film and its very difficult to get good budget, distributors and publicity without big banner and starcast.

A sheer waste of time. It is good to see a low budget sex movie in small talkies other than viewing this movie.

people should go to see how lousy this film is!
by RD on Mar 04, 2005 01:09 PM

That was just about the worst movie on earth. First of all, the acting was just plain bad, they didn't even seem to be comfortable with the english language. am no fan of the malayali accent but here couldn't decide whether to be tamilian or mallu. Plus the girls r's began to role at some 'emotionally charged ' moments. The plot was lame. The subject sensitive and dealt with unaesthetically. Especially the b-grade make out scenes. Intentions were sincere however, to potray the hypocrisy of the church, the family all too willing to stand by while the daughter sold herself, and the masochist behaviour of that silly girl while she waited to be grabbed...if that was how it was meant to be shown. Usually, the hindi film solution to such a mess of relationships is that someone has to die..usually the girl , to do away with the problem. But i didn't see the ending because i was so nauseated i had to leave the thaetre.
The music was lousy too, all thriller-omen horror mixed up, with no relevence to the theme whatsoever. Also, i don;t know of any church in Kerala where the groom kisses the bride on the lips, looked more like some goan-portugese influence.
Bad detailing!

Seema Rahmani is impressive in SINS
by Ulhas Shirke on Feb 28, 2005 02:17 PM  | Hide replies

There is no doubt that Mr. Vinod Pande has handled a bold subject very efficiently as a creative director that he is; but, the lead role played by Seema Rahmani makes all the diffeence. the film has turned out to be a realistic film mainly because of the natural acting talent coming from Seema.the way she changed her emotions with the sequences, needs a special mention. It is not an easy role, but, Seema has done it with ease, with her theatre experince..
