I havent seen abhinandana, but the rightful credit should be given to the 1960s BR Chopra movie Gumrah. The basic premise is from gumrah, with a sprinkling of HAHK, lamhe, dhadkan, and possibly abhinandan. I was never a big fan of darshan's movies, though he does have a ear for good music.

The performances are mediocre and except for the music there isnt much to be excited abt this movie..

What Mr. Raja Sen forgets to mention in his review of the movie Bewafaa is the movie takes the story from B.R.Chopra's Gumraah (Ashok Kumar,Mala Sinha,Sunil Dutt)

Some people think that by being harsh/sarcastic they have the best possible review .Its another matter that they cannot even write grammatically correct English Pity such people as India has endorsed and loved Bewafa .

BTW so Indu still thinks that Black's a flop the lady is crazy and a collectionless trade expert . Once again like Baghban and Munnabahi Rediff will be proved fools as far as box office is concerned

Just feeling sorry for Cast...

I have seen this movie just for Kareena!! but I think I have made a biggest mistake as no one convinced the audience and is sheer wastage of talent like Anil, Manoj and Sushmita too name a few. But for Kareena fans one good news "she is looking gorgeous as always"... pathetic story..to end it..just don't waste your money..watch on Pirated VCD edition..

Bewafaa review
by Sridhar Srinivasan on Feb 26, 2005 01:17 AM

Raja Sen writes with a panache that cannot be bartered away for the banalities of lesser writers (sukanya varma, if you need an example). Sheer pleasure reading his take on bollywood's lesser (or greater) mortals, and it is time someone called kareena kapoor what she really is. An ugly, utterly incapable child of, apparently, very influential parents.

I cant think of any other society, other than India, where someone with her acting talents (or substantial lack thereof) would somehow be considered a top 'actor'

Where did Raja see the movie ?
by Last on Feb 26, 2005 12:11 AM

B'coz where ever ppl have seen Bewafaa they talk of the MASS going mad for every song .

Now what can one say about a site that calls a movie like Black a flop ( a site that is suppose to be Bombay performance based) despite the fact that Black sold for 2.5 cr for the whole territory, getting 2.9 cr just from Bombay city .

PLUS a site that is Bombay based , calling Swades a flop despite the fact that the movie collected 3.05 cr from Bombay and 65 lakhs from Thane .

NEED I SAY MORE !
