Telugu missing
by Sisir on Feb 24, 2005 06:00 AM  | Hide replies

Does "south" necessarily mean "Tamil'n'Malayalam" only? I very well accept the fact that telugu movies are purely commercial and do not boast of any "off-beat" movies. However when it comes to entertainment or viewership, I strongly feel that telugu movies are at par with its southern contemporaries.
I wonder why telugu movies are not given enough emphasis at rediff.com.

forget abt telugu or tamil or malayalam ...

in general, in any of the national sites ...no one bothers abt regional cinema ....for them indian cinema is just BOLLYWOOD ....
i don't say bollywood is bad or good ....but why does everyone neglect S.indian cinema ,when they complete worldwide in every film festival ...

it is a shame that dubbed and remake movies of S.indian hits in Hindi make news around the world ,while the original movie doesn't even exist anywhere .....really a sad state ......

some nuetrality has to be maintained ....
