If that is sin, what were these?

I cannot quite remember any demonstrations when 'Ganga Ki Saugandh' was released in 1978, and had a village temple priest called Kashinath as one of the negative characters - who has a cow killed and implicates the hero - Amitabh Bachhan. Oh, and the priest is shown drinking and 'fraternising' at a mujra as well. Niether do I remember any protests anywhere in the world regarding the Christopher Reeve starrer "Monsignor" (1982). The film has been telecast repeatedly on HBO, and I do not remember Catholics taking to the streets in protest. Every religion has its share of parables and conversely, demons - and one cannot deny the other existence.

OH REALLYY!!!!

Well if the movie had a HINDU priest you HINDUS would have caused huge riot and made sure the film was banned.
It is easy to say what you did. WHat if it was your temple priest!! Of cousr you would have reacted to it.
It's a shame to make suh a movie.
I eremeber last month the Sikhs went on a strike in UK as they showed a Sikh priest making out in a London Theater. It casued a revolution.
If you Hindus can't take your priest being insulted don't don't you dare insult priests of other religions.

Your temple presit was a negative character and he only killed a cow. But did they show your priest having sex in the temple????
Of cousr it would have been ian issue if it did.

Learn to respect other religions!!!!
