Pak actress fined for kissing!
by Mohsin on Mar 13, 2005 11:45 PM  | Hide replies

For God say..this no muslim-hindu issue. The Problem is simple, why bollywood don't show naked guls like hollywood because its against indian culture..ok. Just like this kissing is not allowed in Pakistan because its not allowed by pakistani culture and not in ISLAM, the religion in Pakistan..Try to understand what i am trying to say. A muslim can't kiss anybody ( mulim or non-muslim ) its against ISLAM religion...OK...its not a muslim-hindu issue.

Hello Mr.Mohsin, have you ever watched movies, either in India or pakistan? You say, its against the religion, can you just notice how many of the Male actor's are enjoying Female actresses, Meera was never wrong in what she has committed and its really a shame to charge Fine on Meera, she's got that sexy talent, she is an artist and she can accept any role offered to her, you got to take it as an artist and not by RELIGION, so where are people who dont want to comment on other Female or Male actresses, is there any issue about that? This is really called to be a bull S,,,, for charging Fine's on Meera.
ALWAYS RESPECT "ART" As an "ARTIST" and I Hope you no more Take it in a Least Manner as other's have done.

Lot of them Play Behind Screne's Just to Quench Their Thirst, and to Play in Front of Crore's of People Will surely Be called "ART", Those, who have that Particular Talent We all have to Encourage them, and Not Charge Fine's on Them.

We Love Meera To Be a Citizen Of INDIA.I LOVE HER.
SKanth.

Pak actress fined for kissing!

Pakistan Government's decision to impose hefty fine on actress Meera for kissing her Indian co-star, Ashmit Patel, in the film "Nazar" is silly and quite atrocious. Pakistan is still living in medieval ages and following feudal practices. Most Pakistani politicians have the "mullah" psyche. Their film industry is quite small and primitive compared to most countries' (forget Bollywood), in terms of films produced, its infrastructure, money earned by stars, etc. If Pakistani Government wants to ban their stars from acting in Bollywood, then it is their problem. A top Pakistani actor has to act in numerous films to earn what a top Indian actor is paid in Bollywood. In short, a Pakistani actor may have to spend his acting career to earn what a top Indian star earns in just four to five highly paid films. Pakistani Government is suffering from a mental block and due to its blinkers is not able to realse that the entire world has changed for the better and what they think is right may be wrong elsewhere. When will Pakistani Generals and clergy stop dabbling in politics and leave the decision making process to the politicians.

Pak Actress Meera being fined for Kissing
by Vijay on Feb 24, 2005 03:01 PM  | Hide replies

Offlate Mahesh Bhatt is riding on few movies with steamy scenes for no reasons and causes. And another coincidence is our Hero Mr.Ashmit patel who is a common content in all the controversial clips.
Its so disheartening to know tht all these things are now being named as TALENT.There is 1 thing good in Mallika Sherawat though she does all this she admits it boldly unlike the other saint actresses arguing over it saying that the scene really demanded it and the story wouldnt have conveyed true if tht was missing.
Let Meera be Fined for her act.How true sometimes Money & Fame brings the devil in man or woman.

i am really shocked 2 read this article. i really couldn't understand the logic behind such disgusting decision made by the pak Govt. When the two asian giants r trying 2 cut out the distance between them created in last 50 years this type of steps may lead all those efforts in vain. its really the hightime 2 make the decision that whether they want 2 move ahead or backward. On behalf of every indian i would like 2 convey this message 2 every pakistani that u people r most welcome in india as long as u r with real good reasons without being trditionally against india.

I saw the reply to your message and found it to be highly hypocritical. What is the big deal and fuss if the actress, Meera, kissed an actor on the screen. If the script required kissing, then so be it. If the Pak authorities are very concerned about this issue, the best thing would be to ban all films, Pakistani and non-Pakistani, being screened on their soil. This way, they will be able to uphold Pakistani culture and traditions. People should have the freedom to express themselves, provided they do not commit a nuisance. People should have the choice to embrace what they like and discard what they do not want. Why has the Pakistani Government to act as a watchdog? The present Pakistani Government has no credibility. Their so called President is a General who has usurped power and their Prime Minister is the former's poodle. I have to admit though, their Prime Minister is a renowned economist. As Pakistani film industry has just produced 25 films in 2004 and thousands are unemployed, their filmstars prefer to work in Bollywood where they will be paid astronomical amounts which they could not think of earning in their entire lifetime in Lollywood.

Yes, there must be a punishment for those who do things like that done by the pak. actress as it is against the rules of Islam which is the national religion of Pakistan.
The government of Pakistan should not allow any of her artist whether actor or actress to work in a forien country in such a way as these are totally against the culture of Pakistan.
