I consider Mohanlal as the most versatile actor. He can do any role and also giv his atmost effort to transform the role given to him into reality. And he has an immense grasping talent ...lik the role of a kathakali artist in Vanaprastham....He gave his fullest in that movie...the Kathakali that he performs leaves us wondering abt his talent.I m a die hard fan of Mohanlal..i can say.He has coma long way thru and still ahs a long way to go i believe.I wish him all the best for his future!!!!!

Yes he is the best actor of india. There is no one who can replace him now & also in future. He is so flexible & knows acting so well that he can perform any character to its extreme best.He is really gorgeous & i pray for his long life & also hope that he is as successful as now or more in future as well.
He is a gift of god to the malayalam film industry.I hope he is always healthy & get more & more offers so that he can entertain or make the people of kerala happy & proud. He is simply great.
With Mohanlal being the only south indian in the 50 High & Mighty Indians, its not a fair deal to have left behind acting legends like Kamal Hassan, music maestros like Illayaraja and ARR, and yet another superstar from Kerala, Mamooty. Nothing against Mohanlal, but just a thot ....
I think who ever has written that doesn't know much about South India, if she had even the faintest idea he wouldn't have said that. Apart from her I wonder how come India Today also could say something like this. As it is a known fact, regarding Rajnikant' power in tamil Nadu, Chiranjeevi in Andhra Pradesh, talking only about the film actors/actresses. I am unsure what was the criteria for shortlisting.

hariprasad - the list was the 50 high and "mighty" of india - it had nothing to do with acting talent. its only based on the power and popularity of the stars and in that aspect, rajini certainly features right up there. thats my opinion

Sorry my friend Rajni will b abig star in Tamilnadu & Chirangeevi in Andhra but both of these actors didnt get even one national awards and performed outstanding roles. So plz do not compare Mohanlal with them, better compare with Kamalhasan & Mamooty.
