The picture is a good one with decent performances by Ash and Nadiraa and Kher. The critics in India have a grduge against Ash and tore her performance to bits. But the overseas audience liked it in South Africa, Italy and UK and now the US also. I liked the movie a lot and took the entire family for a outing to the movies.It was worth it.
It is a mystery who exactly are the people who have seen and appreciated either the film "Bride & Prejudice", or its heroine, Ms Aishwarya Rai, for whoever has seen it, has called both, quite awful.
I personally found even the promos quite unbearable.
Frankly, there never has been a more overrated actress or overrated 'good-looker' than ms Rai.
She is so, so artificial, so steeped in her own self, and frankly, a terrible actress if ever there was one.
Leave alone accomplished actresses like Rani Mukherjee, Tabu, or Kareena, even a Neha Dhupia or a Kim Sharma is far, far better than Ms Rai in the acting department.
High time Ms Rai married a nice man of her age (instead of her efforts at cradle-snatching a la Vivek Oberoi) and settled down to pursue some intellectual activity, for I hear, she is quite an intelligent woman.
