Dear Rediff, Its great to know and hear there is finally a biography on the great, special, illustrious and extremelly talented first family of Indian Cinema..I am a huge fan of Karisma Kapoor and Kareina Kapoor..Best of Luck to all..I have to buy one book soon for sure
For god sakes, mention The kapoors or any thing related to hindi Cinema as "Hindi Cinema" and not Indian Cinema.
Hindi Cinema or Bollywood (????) does not represent the entire indian film industry. People abroad are having wrong preception of indian cinema because bollywood represents itself as Indian Cinema.
I believe it is a crime to promote Bollywood as Indian Cinema disregarding the contributions of other film industry. The best and quality movies are always made in south or in Bengal etc. It is high time to stop Hindi Cinema being referred as India Cinema where by which our cinema's will only be associated Nachnewallas and Jatkawallis!!!!!.
If Neherus are the political family serviving in India Kapoors are also Indias film family serving the nation till date.If Late Prithviraj ji was colosus then Late Raj Kapoor was magnus showman.Unfortunately Sashiji a better actor could not contribute singularly exept perhaps his continuing contribution in Prithvi theater which his daughter is taking care of these days.What Indian audience miss is the quality production from RK banner.None of the sons could live up to their Fathers status.Rishi however is a better actor but has lost opportunities but still he has that shine.The people of India will always love Kapoors of Indian film.The worst patch however been the bad blood and worst result in ditching a fine young gentleman by one of Kapoors.Abhisek lifted himself well above head and shoulder in this nasty episode.A black mark in Kapoors
