WAY TO GO, ALBERT! This was a most timely and fantastic interview. I don't have the pleasure of knowing Mr. Brooks, but am a true fan. I would not have expected these pertinent questions to elicit any more different answers than those he has stated.
These have always been my impression of this great entertainer and filmmaker. And truly once again looks like he is not going to disappoint. Only AB could accomplish this with such diligence, style and sensitivity.
We have just seen the passing of Richard Pryor, an entertainer who was called a comedian's comedian. Every time I have seen these two words together they have not been capitalized. That leaves room for 'at least a few others' to be called such. Those words do not come about overnight.
AND CERTAINLY I HEAR THAT THOSE ARE TWO WORDS that have always been attributed to Mr. ALBERT BROOKS for many years by many of his peers. Watching one of Mr. Brooks' movies is like a typical 6 year old 'kid' who wants to read a book over and over: You are an adult but you want to see his movie over, and over, and over again. Can't wait to see this movie here in the US of A. THANKS ALBERT!!and PEACE!
I wonder why the filmmaker has chosen India for the purpose. I dont think India represents the typical Muslim world as perceived in rest of the world. It could be Pakistan or some other muslim country (where security could be taken care of). Experiencing the ignorance of people particularly in US about the region, I am kind concerned if it gives a message of India being one of those predominantly hardline, fundamentalist and backward muslim societies (ofcourse thats the element the filmmaker is going to portray when he deals with this topic)
